REPORT OF THE PROGRAM VISITOR 5. Quantitative evaluation of curriculum (cont'd) - visitors evaluation A M U Curriculum Content Analysis Results 1. Math + BS 2. Mathematics 3. Basic Science 4. Complementary Studies 5. Engineering Sciences (ES) 6. Engineering Design (ED) 7. ES + ED 8. Prior Studies Claimed COMMENTS (Comment on all M and U ratings - other comments as appropriate) 1-7: 12 courses have AUs with one or more small slices (AU categories below 25% of the AUs in the course) many far below. In all categories except Basic Science, the AU totals are far above the CEAB minimums. 3. For the 3 courses with the largest small slices (ENGR 2200, 2250, and 4890), I examined the course binders and interviewed the instructors. I am convinced that the Basic Science AUs in these courses make sense. There remain three more small slices (ENGR 3720, 4650, and 4850). If all of these slices are accepted, then the total AUs will be 204.8. If they are all rejected, then the total is 193.6.
