An updated repair procedure is available to address this condition. Follow the procedures in this bulletin to replace the floor wire harness and side squib. TSB OVERVIEW After confirming the vehicle condition matches this bulletin, this TSB will direct you to replace the floor wire harness and the side squib. In order to do this, it is necessary to first remove several major components, such as the upper instrument panel, front and rear seats, and seat belts. This bulletin provides detailed instructions on the removal and installation of these components. This warranty is in effect for 60 months or 60,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's inservice date. Warranty application is limited to occurrence of the specified condition described in this bulletin. REPAIR PROCEDURE OVERVIEW Section 1: DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE This procedure, using Techstream and TIS will determine the correct repair method. Replacement of either the side airbag and/or the floor wire harness will be necessary.

Page 4 of 27 Section 2: REPAIR PROCEDURE: SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT If the side airbag has not been previously replaced using T-SB-0252-08, this section instructs the reader to replace the side airbag. If it has been previously replaced, this section can be skipped. Section 3: REPAIR PROCEDURE: FLOOR WIRE HARNESS REMOVAL The floor wire harness will need to be replaced on all vehicles applicable to this bulletin. This will require removal of several major components, such as the upper instrument panel, front and rear seats, and seat belts. DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE 1. Follow the diagnostic procedure in the Repair Manual. Has the side airbag been replaced? (Refer to TSB T-SB-0252-08, "Repair Manual Supplement: SRS Light 'ON' DTC B0111/B0116 - Open Side Squib Circuit".) YES - Replace the floor wire harness. NO / Not Sure - Replace the side airbag assembly and floor wire harness.

Refer to TIS, TSB T-SB-0252-08, "Repair Manual Supplement: SRS Light 'ON' DTC B0111/B0116 - Open Side Squib Circuit ". REPAIR PROCEDURE: FLOOR WIRE HARNESS REMOVAL 1. Remove the instrument panel. Refer to TIS, applicable model year Sienna Repair Manual: 2005 Sienna: Vehicle Interior - Interior Panels/Trim - "Instrument Panel Safety Pad Sub-Assy: Replacement" 2006 / 2007 / 2008 / 2009 Sienna: Vehicle Interior - Interior Panels/Trim - "Instrument Panel: Instrument Panel Safety Pad: Removal" 2. Remove the front seat outer belt assembly. Only key installation points are noted below. 1. 2. Install the NEW floor wire harness. Install the parking brake control pedal assembly (LH only). A. Install the parking brake control pedal assembly with a bolt and the 2 nuts. Torque: 39 N*m (398 kgf*cm, 29 ft*lbf) B. C. Connect the parking brake switch connector. Connect the instrument panel junction block assembly with the 4 nuts. Torque: 7.3 N*m (74 kgf*cm, 65 in*lbf)

Install the center pillar upper garnish. Install the front seat outer belt assembly. NOTE: Do NOT disassemble the retractor. A. Install the retractor with the 2 bolts. Torque: 42 N*m (430 kgf*cm, 31 ft*lbf) B. Install the shoulder anchor with the nut.

NOTE: The check should be performed with the assembly installed. Check that the belt locks when pulling out the belt quickly when the belt is installed. If operation is NOT as specified, replace the front seat outer belt assembly. Check the fastening function of the lock mode for the child restraint systems. F. NOTE: The check should be performed with the assembly installed. 1. 2. Check that the belt cannot be pulled out any more but can be rewound after the belt is fully pulled out. Check that the belt can be pulled out and rewound after the belt is fully rewound. If operation is NOT as specified, replace the front seat outer belt assembly. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12.
