HPLC: Systems Gilson s revolutionary Fraction Trapping System is unlike any other system on the market today. The Fraction Trapping System is ideally suited for processing fractions up to 20 ml in volume and concentrations up to 500 mg that have been purified on virtually any preparative HPLC system. Washing steps can be performed for removal of salts, buffers and mobile phase modifiers such as TFA that can hinder further LC/MS analysis. Fractions containing greater than even 50% water content can be processed and collected in 100% of organic solvent. This allows for fast dry down times at lower temperatures for samples that are heat sensitive. Dry down times of 12 24 hours can be reduced to less than 30 minutes. Process fractions in 8 to 12 minutes with volumes up to 20 ml and concentrations up to 500 mg. Steps involved in Fraction Trapping TRAP Sequestration from fraction of desired solute(s) by a solid phase RINSE Removal of buffers, modifiers, salts, etc. by appropriate rinsing of the solid phase and the trapped solute(s) ELUTE Trapped solute(s) desorbed to produce a relatively small volume of dry organic solvent solution of the desired solute 50 ml/min Injection Loop Volume up to 25 ml Detector Variable Dual Wavelength Wavelength 190 700 nm Aspiration 5 ml/min for fraction loading Most reversed phase fractions contain high water content, salts, modifiers and buffers resulting in long dry down times up to 24 hours. Gilson s Fraction Trapping System completely removes water content, buffers, modifiers and salts while reducing dry down from hours to minutes. HPLC: Pumps Together with Gilson s manometric modules and dynamic mixers, the 305, 306 and 307 Pumps offer a cost-effective, space saving and robust solution for isocratic or gradients of analytical to preparative HPLC. The 307 model functions as an isocratic pump with a built-in manometric module. Dynamic mixers ensure efficient, dependable gradient creation. The 306 model functions as a slave unit, controlled by either a 305 or TRILUTION LC Software. The 305 and 307 Pumps are programmable through the incorporated keypad. Tools are not required for pump head removal, allowing accessibility for maintenance. Piston seals, check valves and other parts can be replaced in a matter of minutes. Offering unmatched flexibility and performance for liquid transfer applications, the Minipuls Evolution is designed for scientists seeking a high performance, manageable peristaltic pump capable of a variety of configurations. Gilson offers the only peristaltic pump that allows up to 16 separate channel cartridges to be changed while the pump is running with a simple push on the cartridge for placement and removal. 0.1% on all channels Tubing ID standard: 0.25 4 mm high-flow: 2 8 mm Optimized six roller drive limits pulsation. standard: 0.2 μl/min 70 ml/min (42 psi, 3 bar) high-flow: 1 340 ml/min (29 psi, 2 bar) 305/306: 10 μl/min 200 ml/min 307: 10 μl/min 10 ml/min < 1% 33 x 33 x 15 cm (13 x 13 x 6 in) < ± 1% Product #s: 360261 (305 Pump) 3602661 (right) (306 Pump) 3602671 (left) (307 Pump) Product #: F110701 (Minipuls Evolution Pump) Head Speed continuous adjustment from 0 60 rpm by 0.01 rpm increments up to 9.99 rpm, 0.1 rpm increments above 10 rpm Module: 164 x 182 x 169 mm MF1 pump head: 164 x 56 x 169 mm MF4 pump head: 164 x 92 x 169 mm HF2 pump head: 164 x 92 x 169 mm The 402 Syringe Pumps assure accuracy in sample transfers, dilutions, reagent additions, mixing and more. They offer speed and reliability for repetitive liquid handling tasks. Available in three configurations: 402 Single, ideal for sampling injectors. 402 Dual with Tee, provides rapid dilutions in both small and large volumes. An ideal addition to Gilson liquid handlers and injectors including the GX and 215 Series instruments. 402 Dual, two-in-one accommodates simultaneous dispensing of multiple reagents and solvents. The Gilson Minipuls 3 multi-channel peristaltic pump is simple to integrate onto existing systems with control through an incorporated keypad or remotely with a separate device. Enhanced reliability and ease of operation are possible because the pump s speed stability is maintained independent of normal temperature variations from 0 to 40 C. This makes the pump ideal for biological perfusion applications. (Note: not intended for direct connection to human subjects.) The Minipuls 3 accommodates wide flow rate ranges using either the standard or high-flow pump head. Pump heads are available with one, two, four or eight channels. Multiple stainless steel rollers drive the pump to produce smoother, low pulse flows.
