THE BREED The AmurAct is a new breed of industrial actuator that not only has speed and power, it is built to last and at a very affordable price. Mated up with a broad offering of Warren Controls proven industrial valve body designs in sizes up to 4", with a myriad of construction materials, trim design and end connection choices, performance and value become synonymous as do robustness and elegance. Normally the AmurAct is atop a valve assembly parallel to the pipeline with the motor directly behind the linkage (LS). For extended temperature range the AmurAct adjusts to a new position, extends its tail to bring the rotated motor 180 degrees on the linkage shaft to go beyond the linkage safety shield, far from the pipeline (LE) (see example above). Extended Temperature Version Animal safety: This species has such an intelligent design that safety is second nature. The internal lever mechanism is in an inherent lockup mode in its natural resting position, just like the jaws of the creature - ensuring guaranteed failure modes. So incredible is this ability that the electric motor can be removed while the valve is in service, and still maintain the lockup mode. But the safety does not stop there. The motor has a patented Enerdrive Fail-Safe Capacitive back up system for accommodating multiple repetitive power failures, ensuring desired fail safe position of the control valve. Enerdrive or the Enerdrive System is both a patent and trademark of National Environmental Products, Ltd. The patented Enerdrive System The patented Enerdrive System, the modern, electronic replacement for antiquated spring return actuator is a super capacitive fail-safe return system. Since its introduction, Enerdrive has proven its versatility and dependability. As a system that is fully incorporated into the PC board for both low and line voltage service, the power generated and stored in its capacitors will drive the control valve at full rated torque to its safety position. It is 100% operational with the resumption of power. Each unit may be manually positioned with the clutch override that is standard on each actuator. Most importantly, the final fail position, either normally open or normally closed may be chosen at any time either before or after installation with the flick of a dip switch. Nema 4X protection The stainless steel materials used to construct an AmurAct linkage provide long-term protection against corrosion. Added protection is available for the electric motor component of the AmurAct actuator. The optional NEMA 4, 4X enclosure protects the motor from moisture and airborne dust and dirt.
