1. Registration Register with your access data consisting of your e-mail address and password. You will have received your password by e-mail. Please change your password after the first log-in and save your access data for later use of the app. Only drivers and inspectors are authorised to carry out app registration. Please see the welcome e-mail to find out which rights you have been assigned. If you have forgotten your password, please click here to request a new password. The new password will be sent to you by e-mail. 2. Notes on the check procedure 2.1 Check with tag (driving licence with QR tag) The tag has to be positioned within the visible rectangle. Please ensure that the tag is well contrasted and easy to see on the screen. You can improve contrast and focus by varying the camera position and lighting. As soon as the tag has been identified, the next stage of the process is indicated. 2.2 Check without tag (EU driving licence) Ensure you have good lighting and avoid reflections. While the hologram on the back of your driving licence is being captured, the entire driving licence must be positioned inside the rectangle. Please place your driving licence on a monochrome surface for scanning purposes. Page 4
3. The driving licence check 3.1 Selecting the check procedure After registration, click on New check to get to the main menu. Click on Start new check to initiate the process. You can then select a check procedure. If you have an EU card driving licence and have NOT yet been issued with a QR tag, please select EU driving licence. If you have a red or grey paper driving licence, please select the option Driving licence with QR tag. 3.2 Check procedure EU driving licence Self-check To carry out the self-check, place the driving licence inside the rectangle. As soon as the front has been scanned, you will be asked to turn the driving licence over so that the back is visible. Follow the instructions and take care to ensure that the driving licence is positioned inside the large rectangle. Now scan the hologram in two stages: the whole driving licence has to be permanently inside the rectangle while the hologram is optically scanned. First scan the traffic sign on the hologram by holding the end device so that the sign can be clearly identified. Once this scan has been successfully carried out you will asked to scan the character sequence on the hologram. Tilt your end device so that the character sequence can be clearly identified The character sequence is displayed to you in the information line. You are then guided to the next stage: Finish self-check. Confirm the driving licence check by entering your PIN. You are then guided to the next stage: Finish self-check. 3.3 Check procedure driving licence with QR tag Self-check Scan your tag as described under 2.1. As soon as the code has been identified, the next stage of the process is indicated: Finish self-check. The self-check is completed by entering your PIN and clicking on the Finish check button. You will receive confirmation if the check was successful. Page 6
