NATURAL GAS CAUTIONS Natural gas is flammable and explosive. Ignition temperature 1200º F (649º C). May be very cold at 260º F (-162º C). Asphyxiation may occur in confined or enclosed areas without ventilation. Compressed natural gas is natural gas that has been compressed for use as a fuel. It is stored in highpressure storage cylinders. Only trained personnel should service the high pressure CNG fuel system. Extreme care must be taken when working with high-pressure systems.
