1. In the LHS of the vehicle cabin, locate the main harness grommet nipple (1). 2. Cut off the tip of the main harness grommet nipple (1). 3. In the engine bay, locate the vehicle battery (1). 4. Route the power input harness (2) towards the LHS of the engine bay. 5. Route the power input harness through the previously cut main harness grommet nipple (3). 6. Seal the grommet nipple using electrical grease. Note: Do not connect the power input harness to the battery at this point. For P/No: 04997 & 04999 only. 7. In the vehicle cabin, following the diagram on the right, house the two power & ground input harness female terminals (4) into the mating connector (3). 8. Connect the power input harness connector (3) to the body harness mating connector. 9. Seal the two connectors with electrical tape. Issue Date 23-11-10 Page 2
For P/No: 04998. 10. In the vehicle cabin, following the diagram on the right, house the three power & ground input harness female terminals (4) into the mating connector (5). 11. Connect the power input harness connector (5) to the body harness mating connector. 12. Seal the two connectors with electrical tape. 13. In the vehicle cabin, remove the LHS front scuff plate (1) and the LHS kick panel (2). 14. In the vehicle cabin, remove the LHS rear scuff plate (1). Issue Date 23-11-10 Page 3
15. Inside the vehicle cabin, locate the four electric brake controller wires (1) that were previously routed into the cabin. 16. Locate the electric brake controller (2). 17. Mount the electric brake controller mounting bracket. 18. Route the electric brake controller wires (1) towards the electric brake controller mounting location. 19. Route the body harness (3) down towards the LHS kick panel area. For P/No: 04998 & 04999 only 20. Following the diagram on the right, house the body harness terminals (1) to the corresponding slot on the connector (2). 21. Insert the secondary lock (3) into the connector (2). 22. Connect the body harness connector to the electric brake controller. 23. Route the body harness (1) from the LHS kick panel area along the LHS of the vehicle and towards the rear. 24. Continue to route the body harness (1) from the LHS of the vehicle and towards the rear. 25. Route the body harness (1) along the LHS of the vehicle into the luggage compartment area. 26. Route the body harness (1) towards the trailer harness / tail harness connectors. For P/No: 04998 and 04999 only. 27. Locate the trailer harness (2). 28. Disconnect the trailer harness 8-way connector (2) and the tail harness 8-way mating connector (1). 29. Connect the body harness 8-way connector (3) to the trailer harness mating connector (2). 30. Connect the body harness 8-way connector (3) to the tail harness 8-way mating connector. Issue Date 23-11-10 Page 5
For P/No: 04997 & 04998 only. 31. Connect the body harness 2-way female connector (1) into the 12-pin tail harness mating connector (2). Note: Any future accessories can be patched in between these two connectors. Total power rating is 30-amps. For P/No: 04998 only. 32. Connect the body harness orange & orange/white wires (1) to the positive terminal on the vehicle battery (2). 33. Connect the body harness white ground wire (3) to the negative terminal on the vehicle battery (2). 34. Secure the body harness with cable ties (not supplied). For P/No: 04997 & 04999 only. 35. Connect the body harness orange wire (1) to the positive terminal on the vehicle battery (2). 36. Connect the body harness white ground wire (3) to the negative terminal on the vehicle battery (2). 37. Secure the body harness with cable ties (not supplied). Issue Date 23-11-10 Page 6
38. Test the body harness function using a light board or multimeter. 39. Secure all harnesses using cable ties (not supplied). 40. Re-fit all removed parts and secure all fasteners, ensuring there are no squeaks or rattles. 41. Place instructions in glove box after fitment. Issue Date 23-11-10 Page 7
