SIMOREG DC-MASTER In DC technology, cost-effectiveness plays a decisive role. This is the reason that our SIMOREG DC-MASTER is the obvious choice. The drive converter distinguishes itself across the board: Increased power range up to 18,000 A, rated input voltages from 400 V to 950 V, integrated intelligence, simple and unified operator control philosophy, as well as functionality to support commissioning with self-optimizing current and speed controllers. And with an even higher degree of user friendliness: Menu-prompted parameterization using a PC and extensive diagnostic systems for troubleshooting. In the event of a commutation failure, a large current is generated in the power supply system in feedback direction, or a transverse current in the converter. The Converter Commutation Protector limits these currents to a harmless value and so protects fuses and thyristors. And eliminates the expensive and timeconsuming need to replace such fuses following a commutation failure. Plant availability is therefore significantly increased.
