Page Outside Mirrors, Vocational Each door has a mirror suspended in a two-point mirror bracket. If the a mirror needs to be pulled in to clear a narrow passage, the hinges allow the mirror to be moved flat against the cab side. A down view mirror on the passenger door is standard. There are two separate mirrors for each side of the cab. The upper, larger mirror is motorized () for adjustment from inside the cab. The small spot mirror surface is convex to reflect a larger area. Design and Function The mirror face assembly for heated mirrors is secured to the mirror base by a hexagonal retaining spring. Adjust the mirror completely in to allow access to the hexagonal retainer spring clips. Use a pocket screwdriver to separate the two clips of the hexagonal retainer spring, then disconnect the safety rope. W80034 The mirror face assembly for unheated mirrors is secured to the mirror base by four Phillips head screws. To remove the mirror face from the assembly, remove the four screws. The upper, larger mirror is available as a heated mirror. Heating involves a printed resistance circuit directly attached to the back of the mirror glass. The heating capacity is self-regulating. Governed by the size of the wire, only a small amount of current passes through the heater, stabilizing the temperature. With this design, the mirror heaters can be left on without having to monitor the defrosting. Hexagonal retainer spring clips. W80070
