6 REMARKS Boosted Power Take Off (P.T.O.) Operation This vehicle is equipped with an electronically controlled engine Power Management system that monitors and boosts engine power output in certain circumstances, as engine load increases. This is achieved by electronically changing the characteristics of the engine power speed curve. The engine Power Management function ( boosted power level) becomes active in the higher transmission gear (mechanical range 2). The system is also activated once power transfer through the rear P.T.O. exceeds a pre set level (and forward speed exceeds 0.5 km/h), for mobile P.T.O. driven implement applications. An over ride system is provided to enable P.T.O. operation at the boosted power level whilst the vehicle is stationary and to achieve rated engine speed, for test purposes. The results of such a P.T.O. power output test are presented in this report. Engine rated Speed Management This vehicle is equipped with an electronically controlled engine Speed Management system that monitors and limits the engine speed in certain circumstances to increase fuel economy. The rated engine speed of 2200 rpm is limited to 2100 rpm in many cases. Exemptions to this rule where the extra speed becomes active are... + in the manual mode of CVT transmissions (regardless if P.T.O. is engaged or not) The engine speed is controlled/limited to 2100 rpm for drawbar performance test as well as for many other conditions not part of the OECD test code like... + in the auto mode of CVT transmissions + when P.T.O. is engaged (with CVT and auto mode) Date of test report: 21 November 2016 Page 43/43
