General Summary Dr. Anwar has over twenty years of research and teaching experience in the area of Mechatronics Systems and Control. His primary activities in these areas include research, teaching, development, and technical consulting. Dr. Anwar has published over thirty technical papers / reports and presented lectures at various national and international conferences. Dr. Anwar is also the inventor of thirteen US patents and three foreign patents. He is currently involved with the multi-rate modeling and simulation of engine systems sponsored by Cummins, Inc. He is also pursuing active research in the area of Fault Tolerant Control of Drive-By-Wire system for improved efficiency and safety. He recently conducted a 4-hour workshop on this topic at the US Army Research Labs (TARDEC) at Warren, MI. He is the director of the Mechatronics Research Lab within the Department of Mechanical Engineering at IUPUI.
