Proposed EOC Layout
Proposed EOC Layout Proposed equipment: 10 EOC Notebooks Television Projector Screen Whiteboard Printer EOC runs on 2KW of power In case of an emergency, the EOC can run for a minimum of 3 days on the battery pack alone.
Elevations Rain screen Hardie Board and Plank Easy Trim Aluminum anodized finish Double Glazed, Low E, Argon filled latch windows Blue Pine; T&G soffit Stone veneer finish Repair on North Side Elevation to match Hardie Storefront glazing entry
Green Initiatives VRF HVAC systems Low KW use Ductless HVAC/System with separate space control LED lighting Motion sensor lighting Low VOC Paints and Carpeting Low Flow plumbing fixtures Recycled content for materials Solar PV Tesla Powerwall and Power Pack technology One electric car charging station
Energy Savings Occupancy sensors save about 25% of the lighting energy Task lighting better illuminates a workspace while using less energy by localizing the location of the light Heating system room by room vs entire building at once Low electrical draw for the building Low flow fixtures Using less water means using less power to heat the water It s possible to cut water usage at the point of each low-flow fixture by half
Tesla Powerwall
Tesla Powerwall Energy storage for business is designed to: Maximize consumption of on-site clean power Avoid peak demand charges Buy electricity when it s cheapest Get paid by utility providers for participating in grid services
Tesla Powerwall Two Tesla Powerwall units displayed in Lobby 200 KW hours of battery storage Infinitely expands battery systems Charged by solar PV Get paid by utility providers for participating in grid services Supplement daily electrical usage
Tesla Powerwall The panels are each 250watt The proposed system is 10kw The EOC can run 48 hrs on the 200kwh Tesla power packs of heat, cool, electronics, and lights are on The EOC can run MUCH longer on the Tesla power packs if heat/cool is used sparingly as it consumes the batteries the fastest. If full sun is available during EOC operations the EOC would be running off solar panels not Tesla batteries as the panels provide 10kw of power Cloudy days still provide power from the solar panels at approx. 50% of full sun days as the panels absorb the diffused light that still makes it through the clouds.
Why Solar Photovoltaic (PV)? A PV system can generate electricity on cloudy days with diffuse light conditions - Sunlight is an unlimited resource Increased use of solar power builds energy security, reduces greenhouse gas emissions Solar power generation requires no fuel or moving parts. It makes no noise and produces no emissions with minimal maintenance Supplies around 40% of annual electricity needs Takes advantage of excess energy produced by selling energy back into the power grid Life expectancy of 40 years
