MACHINERY CHIPPER / HOG THERMAL: HOT FLUIDS CHEMICAL: MECHANICAL: OTHER: PUSH ALL BUTTONS TO THE OFF POSITION AT THE OPERATOR S PANEL. ENSURE THE MACHINE IS OFF AND MOVING PARTS ARE STOPPED. LOOK FOR BREAKER BOX LABLED. PULL HANDLE DOWN TO THE OFF POSITION. INSTALL LOCK THROUGH THE HANDLE AND HOLE IN THE BOX. LOCK THE LOCK AND PUT KEY IN YOUR POCKET. CHAIN OR BLOCK COVER TO PREVENT IT FROM FALLING OR CLOSING. CHIPPERHOG IS NOW SAFE FOR MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS MAKE SURE ALL PERSONNEL ARE COMPLETELY AWAY FROM THE AREA. ENSURE ALL GUARDS ARE REINSTALLED BEFORE APPLYING POWER. RETURN TO PANEL BOX MARKED. UNLOCK THE LOCK AND REMOVE LOCK FROM THE HANDLE. PUSH HANDLE UP TO THE ON POSITION. PUT KEY BACK IN THE LOCK AND STORE FOR NEXT USE. TURN ON MAIN POWER SWITCHES AND RESUME NORMAL OPERATIONS. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ENSURE SHAKER CONVEYOR LEADING TO CHIPPER IS TURNED OFF. REPLACE SPOUT GUARD PRIOR TO TURNING ON CHIPPER MACHINE.

MACHINERY DESTICKER/DESTACKER ENERGY HAZARDS THERMAL: CHEMICAL: MECHANICAL: CUT OFF SWITCHES TO DESTACKER AND INFEED/OUTFEED CONVEYORS. DISCONNECT AIR HOSES AND BLEED OFF HYDRAULIC PRESSURE. LOOK AT CONVEYOR TO MAKE SURE IT HAS COMPLETELY STOPPED. GO TO BREAKER BOXES LABLED AND FOR THE CONVEYOR. PULL HANDLE DOWN TO OFF POSITION. PUT LOCK THROUGH THE HANDLE AND THE HOLE IN THE BOXES. LOCK THE LOCK AND PUT KEY IN YOUR POCKET. ENSURE ALL MOVING PARTS HAVE STOPPED BEFORE REMOVING GUARDS MACHINE IS NOW SAFE FOR MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS ENSURE ALL GUARDS ARE REINSTALLED BEFORE APPLYING POWER MAKE SURE EVERYONE IS COMPLETELY OUT OF THE DANGER AREA. GO TO BREAKER BOXES &. UNLOCK THE LOCK AND TAKE LOCK OUT OF THE HANDLE. PUSH HANDLE UP TO THE ON POSITION. PUT KEY BACK IN THE LOCK AND STORE FOR NEXT USE. TURN ON MAIN POWER SWITCHES AND RESUME NORMAL OPERATIONS. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

MACHINERY ENERGY HAZARDS DRUM DEBARKER CUT OFF SWITCHES TO DEBARKER AND INFEED/OUTFEED CONVEYORS. DISENGAGE WHEEL DRIVES TO STOP DEBARKER DRUM. TURN OFF ALL AIR SUPPLY TO ACCESSORIES AND CONVEYORS. BLEED OFF ANY REMAINING AIR PRESSURE AND LOCK VALVE(s). BLOCK OR CHAIN DRUM IN A STATIONARY POSITION AS REQUIRED. GO TO MAIN BREAKER BOX LABLED. PLACE THE DISCONNECT HANDLE DOWN TO THE OFF POSITION. TAKE KEY OUT OF LOCK AND PUT IT IN YOUR POCKET. DRUM DEBARKER IS NOW SAFE FOR MAINTENANCE. ENSURE ALL GUARDS ARE REINSTALLED BEFORE APPLYING POWER. REMOVE CHAIN OR BLOCK FROM DRUM (IF INSTALLED). GO TO BREAKER BOX LABLED. UNLOCK THE LOCK AND TAKE LOCK OUT OF HANDLE. ENSURE THAT THE AREA IS CLEAR TO START-UP MACHINERY. TURN ON ANY EXTERIOR AIR VALVES AS REQUIRED. GO IN CAB AND TURN AIR HAND VALVE ON.

MACHINERY ENERGY HAZARDS RING DEBARKER CUT OFF SWITCHES TO DEBARKER AND INFEED/OUTFEED CONVEYORS. TURN OFF AIR SUPPLY TO CONVEYORS AND ACCESSORIES. BLEED OFF AIR PRESSURE AND LOCK HANDLE/VALVE(S). BLOCK OR CHAIN DEBARKER HEAD IN THE STATIONARY POSITION. GO TO MAIN BREAKER BOX MARKED AND FOR THE INFEED AND OUTFEED CONVEYORS. PLACE DISCONNECT HANDLE IN THE OFF POSITION. PUT LOCK THROUGH HANDLE AND LOCK THE BOXES. TAKE KEY OUT OF LOCK AND PUT IT IN YOUR POCKET. RING DEBARKER IS NOW SAFE FOR MAINTENANCE. ENSURE ALL GUARDS ARE REINSTALLED BEFORE APPLYING POWER. REMOVE CHAIN OR BLOCK FROM DEBARKER HEAD (IF INSTALLED). GO TO MAIN BREAKER BOXES MARKED AND AND UNLOCK AND REMOVE LOCKS. ENSURE THAT THE AREA IS CLEAR TO START-UP MACHINERY. TURN ON ALL AIR VALVES AND CONTROLS AS REQUIRED

MACHINERY ROSSER HEAD DEBARKER ENERGY HAZARDS CUT OFF SWITCHES TO DEBARKER AND INFEED/OUTFEED CONVEYORS. LET AIR CYLINDER ALL THE WAY DOWN TO DROP DEBARKER HEAD. GO OUTSIDE OF CAB AND TURN RED HAND VALVE OFF TO CUT OFF AIR SUPPLY TO CYLINDER --- BLEED OFF AIR PRESSURE. BLOCK OR CHAIN HEAD (AS REQUIRED). GO TO MAIN BREAKER BOX MARKED. ROSSER HEAD DEBARKER IS NOW SAFE FOR MAINTENANCE. ENSURE ALL GUARDS ARE REINSTALLED BEFORE APPLYING POWER. REMOVE CHAIN OR BLOCK FROM HEAD (IF INSTALLED). GO TO BREAKER BOX LABELED. UNLOCK THE LOCK AND TAKE LOCK OUT OF HANDLE. ENSURE THAT THE AREA IS CLEAR TO START-UP MACHINERY. GO IN CAB AND TURN AIR HAND VALVE ON.

MACHINERY EDGER CUT OFF SWITCHES TO EDGER AND INFEED/OUTFEED CONVEYORS. GO TO MAIN BREAKER BOX MARKED AND FOR THE INFEED AND OUTFEED CONVEYORS. TURN HAND AIR/HYDRAULIC VALVES TO OFF POSITION. BLEED OFF AIR OR HYDRAULIC PRESSURE. EDGER IS NOW SAFE FOR MAINTENANCE. GO TO BREAKER BOX LABELED. UNLOCK THE LOCK AND TAKE LOCK OUT OF HANDLE. ENSURE THAT THE AREA IS CLEAR TO START-UP MACHINERY.

MACHINERY GANG SAW CUT OFF SWITCHES TO GANG SAW AND INFEED/OUTFEED CONVEYORS. GO TO MAIN BREAKER BOX MARKED AND FOR THE INFEED AND OUTFEED CONVEYORS. PUT LOCK THROUGH HANDLE AND LOCK THE BOXES. MAKE SURE ALL ELECTRIC MOTORS COME TO A COMPLETE STOP. PUT METAL LOCK WRENCH ON MAIN SHAFT OF SAW (IF REQUIRED). GANG SAW IS NOW SAFE FOR MAINTENANCE. GO TO BREAKER BOXS LABELED &. UNLOCK THE LOCKS AND TAKE LOCKS OUT OF HANDLE. ENSURE THAT THE AREA IS CLEAR TO START-UP MACHINERY.

MACHINERY GREEN CHAIN PUSH BUTTON TO CUT OFF THE MAIN CONVEYOR. GO TO MAIN BREAKER BOX MARKED. GREEN CHAIN IS NOW SAFE FOR MAINTENANCE. GO TO BREAKER BOX LABELED. UNLOCK THE LOCK AND TAKE LOCK OUT OF HANDLE. ENSURE THAT THE AREA IS CLEAR TO START-UP MACHINERY.

MACHINERY HEADSAW CUT OFF SWITCHES TO HEADSAW, CARRIAGE AND CONVEYORS. PUT CONTROL PANEL KEY(S) IN YOUR POCKET. GO TO MAIN BREAKER BOX MARKED AND FOR CONVEYORS. TURN HAND AIR/HYDRAULIC VALVES TO OFF POSITION. BLEED OFF AIR OR HYDRAULIC PRESSURE. HEADSAW IS NOW SAFE FOR MAINTENANCE. GO TO BREAKER BOXES LABELED &. UNLOCK THE LOCKS AND TAKE THEM OUT OF THE HANDLE. ENSURE THAT THE AREA IS CLEAR TO START-UP MACHNERY.

MACHINERY PLANER CUT OFF SWITCHES TO PLANER AND INFEED/OUTFEED CONVEYORS. GO TO MAIN BREAKER BOXES MARKED AND FOR THE CONVEYORS. PLACE DISCONNECT HANDLE DOWN TO OFF POSITION. PLANER IS NOW SAFE FOR MAINTENANCE. GO TO BREAKER BOXES LABELED &. UNLOCK THE LOCKS AND TAKE THEM OUT OF HANDLE. ENSURE THAT THE AREA IS CLEAR TO START-UP MACHNERY.

MACHINERY STACKER / PACKAGE MAKER CUT OFF SWITCHES TO STACKER/PACKAGE MAKER AND CONVEYOR. MAKE SURE CONVEYORS COME TO COMPLETE STOP. GO TO MAIN BREAKER BOX MARKED AND FOR THE CONVEYORS. STACKER/PACKAGE MAKER IS NOW SAFE FOR MAINTENANCE. GO TO BREAKER BOXES LABELED &. UNLOCK THE LOCK AND TAKE LOCK OUT OF HANDLE. ENSURE THAT THE AREA IS CLEAR TO START-UP MACHNERY.

MACHINERY TRIM SAW CUT OFF SWITCHES TO TRIM SAW AND INFEED/OUTFEED CONVEYORS. GO TO MAIN BREAKER BOX MARKED AND FOR THE CONVEYORS. TRIM SAW IS NOW SAFE FOR MAINTENANCE. GO TO BREAKER BOXES LABELED &. UNLOCK THE LOCK AND TAKE LOCK OUT OF HANDLE. ENSURE THAT THE AREA IS CLEAR TO START-UP MACHNERY.

MACHINERY FORKLIFTS & ARTICULATED STEERING LOADERS ENERGY HAZARDS TURN THE IGNITION SWITCH TO THE OFF POSITION REMOVE KEY LOCK AND PUT KEY IN YOUR POCKET. FULLY LOWER FORKS OR GRAPPLES TO THE GROUND. NOTE: IF FORKS/GRAPPLES MUST BE ELEVATED FOR REPAIRS, CHAIN OR BLOCK THEM WITH POSITIVE MEANS OF SUPPORT TO PREVENT INJURIES. SET AIR OPERATED BRAKES AND CHOCK WHEELS. RELEASE HYDRAULIC PRESSURE BY ENGAGING CONTROLS. DISCONNECT BATTERY IF REPAIRING ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT. NOTE: DISCONNECT BATTERIES BEFORE ANY WELDING OPERATIONS. INSTALL ARTICULATED STEERING BLOCKS ON GRAPPLE LOADERS. RELEASE PNEUMATIC (AIR) PRESSURE BY VALVES OR BLEEDING SYSTEM. ALLOW THERMAL ENERGY TO DISSIPATE BEFORE REPAIRS ARE PERFORMED ON OR NEAR ENGINE, HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS, AND FLUIDS. ENSURE ALL MOVING PARTS COME TO A COMPLETE STOP. MACHINE IS LOCKED OUT AND AT A ZERO ENERGY STATE. FORKLIFT/LOADER IS NOW SAFE FOR MAINTENANCE. ENSURE THAT THE AREA IS CLEAR TO START-UP FORKLIFT/LOADER. FORKLIFT/LOADER IN READY TO RESUME NORMAL OPERATIONS.

MACHINERY DROP SORTER CUT OFF SWITCHES TO DROP SORTER CONVEYORS. GO TO MAIN BREAKER BOX LABLED. ENSURE LUMBER CONVEYOR(S) LEADING TO DROP SORTER HAVE BEEN TURNED OFF (IF REQUIRED). DROP SORRTER IS NOW SAFE FOR MAINTENANCE. NOTE: FALL PROTECTION WILL BE WORN AT ALL TIMES FOR PERSONEL PERFORMING MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS ON ELEVATED LUMBER BINS. GO TO BREAKER BOX LABELED. UNLOCK THE LOCK AND TAKE LOCK OUT OF HANDLE. ENSURE THAT THE AREA IS CLEAR TO START-UP MACHNERY.
