3-Way, 2-Position Inline & Stacking Solenoid Valve 1/8 & 1/4 Inch Ports Inline Solenoid Valve pplication These valves are used to operate single acting cylinders. They may be used as universal normally open or normally closed valves or may act as selector with two pressures and one outlet. May be used as a divertor valve. 2-Way function can be achieved by plugging a port. Mounting These valves are designed for inline mounting and may be mounted in any plane utilizing either the bottom or side mounts. Operation Single Pressure at Port 1 or 3: De-energized position Port 1 is blocked. Ports 2 and 3 connected. Energized position Solenoid operator energized. Port 1 connected to port 2. Port 3 is blocked. Dual Pressure at Port 1 and 3 (Selector): Port 2 is always the output port. De-energized position Port 3 pressure connects to port 2. Port 1 pressure is blocked. They may be converted from normally open to normally closed by reversing the selector seal. They can be used as selectors if two pressures are used in the pressure and exhaust galleries of the stack. May be used as a divertor valve. Mounting These valves are designed for stack mounting with inlet and exhaust in the stack end plates. They may be mounted in any plane. Operation Pressure In Gallery 1: Normally closed gasket orientation. De-energized position Port 1 is blocked. Ports 2 and 3 connected. Energized position Solenoid operator energized. 3-Way, 2-Position Manifold Valve & Common Conduit Box 1/8 Inch Port Manifold Valve pplication These valves are used to operate single acting cylinders. They may be converted from either 2-Way to 3-Way or normally open to normally closed by use of a separate selector plate placed between the valve and manifold base. Mounting These valves are designed for manifold mounting with inlet and exhaust in the manifold end plates. They may be mounted in any plane. Operation Pressure In Gallery 1: 3-Way, normally closed selector plate used. De-energized position Port 1 blocked. Ports 2 and 3 connected. Energized position Solenoid operator energized. Port 1 connects to port 2. Port 3 blocked. Note: For use with 2-way, Normally Closed selector plate. Port 3 is always blocked, otherwise operation is as above. Common Conduit Box pplication These common conduit boxes are intended for use with either stacking or manifold valves and are used to contain all the wires in a common NEM 4 enclosure with a 1 inch conduit connection at each end. Mounting These common conduit boxes mount directly on the solenoid housing, and are sealed with O-rings and held together by tie rods. Compliance The individual stations have wiring access via a cover plate for ease of splicing and conform to NSI B93.113. Model Selection Information When ordering the Common Conduit Box in stacks or manifolds, use the enclosure option M if 18" wire leads are desired or V if 72" wire leads are desired. End Plate Kit part number PS2711SB can be ordered separately but automatically furnished if a stack or manifold is factory assembled. 8
