(b) Rule 104.5 - Self restoring derail and switch: Nemoto - DTMF 10#1011-PRG. DTMF 10#1021-RTI. (c) Designated Locomotive Tie-up Ridley Island - SF 69 and SF 70 5 PRINCE RUPERT (a) Prince Rupert Intermodal - All trains entering subdivision track at Nemoto should make personal or radio contact with the Fairview Terminal crews to ensure that each has a clear understanding of the other crews intended movements and make arrangements to avoid confl ict prior to entering aforementioned trackage. If unable to contact Fairview Terminal, conact must be made with the RTC for further instructions. (b) Rule 14(l) Must be sounded one quarter mile from private crossing at Mile 92.27. (c) Rule 112 (ii) - applicable as follows: Prince Rupert Yard: ALL TRACKS, 1 or more cars, 1 hand brake (d) Switches between mileages 91.0 and 94.6 may be left lined and locked in either position. [109 ] (f) Designated Locomotive Tie-up : Ridley Island - SF 69 and SF 70 (g) Private crossing at grade Mile 92.27 Cars must not be left within 150 ft of crossing on all tracks. (h) Prince Rupert Ferry Slip. Before movements proceed onto apron, crews must fi rst ensure that all fastenings have been made secure. Speed to be governed by loading conditions and in no case exceeding 5 mph when movement is being made over apron or on the deck of barge. Movements must have air brakes cut in at all times when loading and unloading barges. Locomotives are restricted from operating over apron or deck of barge. (i) WYE - Speed 5 mph. 6 APPLICABLE ON SUBDIVISION (a) Rule 105(a) applicable on all trackage where Rule 105 applies, except sidings Exceptions: Not applicable at Terrace Tracks BF11-BF23. On these tracks, foremen requiring protection for track units must provide positive protection by locking out the track through the use of special locks or by the use of the red signals as prescribed by Rule 40.1, ensuring that they will be visible to all trains and engines, moving and or switching within these limits. Switch points face east. Public Crossing at Grade: Mile 0.06 (Highway 16) - AWD: STOP signs on both sides of crossing. (b) Mile 87.3 - Ridley Island Lead - Extends south from Nemoto and includes Ridley Terminals Inc. and Prince Rupert Grain Ltd. Nemoto Power-Operated Switch The power operated switch (Bull Switch) is equipped with an indicator light mounted on the housing of the switch machine and displays the following indications: Green light: Route is lined for PRG. (DTMF10#1011)
[111 ] Yellow light: Route is lined for RTI. (DTMF10#1021) No light: Switch is not properly lined for either route and must be operated by hand. In the absence of an indication light (no light), the power-operated switch must be operated by hand. Switch must be taken off power, placed in hand position, the points must be engaged and lined for the route to be used. Switch must be lined in all instances. This condition must be reported to the RTC as soon as practicable. Prince Rupert Grain Terminal Ltd. (PRG) Before moving foul of ladder tracks, when Prince Rupert Grain (PRG) engine is in the vicinity, engine crew will make personal contact with PRG crew to ensure each has a clear understanding of the other crew s intended movements and make arrangements to avoid confl ct. CN engines must not enter PRG elevator, runaround, or transfer tracks without permission from PRG or RTC. Certain switches along the south ladder track may be operated manually or by pushbutton electric trackside control. In electric trackside control mode the position of the switch is reversed by pressing the Reverse button located in the blue box adjacent to each switch. PUSH-BUTTON MUST BE DEPRESSED UN- TIL SWITCH POINTS ARE PROPERLY LINED. Instructions for manual operation of switches are contained inside the blue box. Route Indicator lights at each switch indicate whether switch is lined for straight track or diverging route. BEFORE PROCEEDING OVER THESE SWITCHES IT MUST BE DETERMINED BY VISUAL INSPECTION OF SWITCH POINTS THAT THE SWITCH IS PROPERLY LINED REGARD- LESS OF THE INDICATION OF THE ROUTE INDICATOR LIGHT. Ridley Terminals Inc. (RTI) Movements must not enter the thaw shed, indexer or dumper unless accompanied by an employee of Ridley Terminals Inc. Restricted clearance inside THAW SHED, INDEX- ER and DUMPER. Locomotives equipped with bay windows are not permitted within the thaw shed, indexer or dumper. Awnings and wind defl ectors on all locomotives must be placed in closed position before entering the thaw shed. Crews will use extreme caution in the vicinity of the thaw shed, indexer and dumper, entraining and detraining only when train or engine is stationary and then only when necessary. Speed through thaw shed, indexer and dumper is 5 mph.
