The tilting table is designed to be guided single sided. This allows the same possibilities on movement like the model LINEARMILL 600 HD but only for positioning not for continues interpolation on the workpiece. Complete machine housing ensures maximum protection of operator in regards to noise and fumes. Pivoting operating panel for ergonomic operation and programming. Direct tool insertion to the magazine. Operationg panel with all necessary control buttons. Loading possible parallel to machining. And the control panel can be rotated on the arm, which means the control panel can be positioned anywhere on the machine you need it. For shipping the entire control unit is swung into the working area of the machine. Compact machine design All accessories are integrated perfectly into the machine. The coolant tank is below the working area, the coolant pumps are embedded in the housing. The cooling unit is the only exposed system on the machine. Machine construction The machine is a typical floor type. The X carriages with their cross supports are over a solid base. The Y carriages are guided via 6 guide shoes and kept extremely stiff. The Z movement is via the head, which is structured as a carriage with guides. Short distances from the spindle nose to the guide shoes ensure stable and low-vibration machining. 2 3

This technology ensures highly precise positioning and interpolating throughout the entire life of the machine, as unlike worm gears, there can be no wear in this system. Reverse play and positioning hysteresis are completely eliminated. Controls We offer our customers various different control systems to make programming and operating the machine as simple as possible. Our standard control units are: HEIDENHAIN itnc 530, SELCA S4045 DDH, SIEMENS 840D (PCU20) SIEMENS 840D HEIDENHAIN itnc 530 SELCA S4045 DDH Intelligent machine construction The frame construction is like a typical "moving column machine". The geometry of the slides is designed in a way to ensure shortest distances from the tool to the guidewayshoes in order to reduce deflection to a minimum. Tooling The tool magazine is filled through a separate loading door on the side of the machine. Tools can also be checked and exchanged during a machining cycle, without having to stop the machine. Tilting rotary table The 600 x 600 mm (23.6 x 23.6") clamping surface means many different medium-sized parts can be chucked. There are 6 x 14 mm (0.55") H8 clamping grooves in the table for standard clamps. The center of the table is set up for connections for 2 hydraulic and 1 pneumatic line. Parts can also be clamped either hydraulically or pneumatically with the "rotary coupling leadthrough" option. 4 5
