Since inception not only have we remained close to our roots with our innovative Strand and Bar products, but we have also developed and promoted many other unique and innovative products, including the ability to produce anchors with standard corrosion protection systems, as well as products with special corrosion protection requirements, to allow our customers to complete a variety of many difficult projects. With this wide selection of products still available to our customers today we are abe to service not only large international contractors but also small owner operators. Through our several production plants and offices located across Canada and the USA; from British Columbia to Ontario, from Washington State, to North Carolina and Florida, we are able to service any of your project needs. s: Your SOLID Solution Our s (HRTB) are available in various grades. They are fully threaded along the entire length with a hot formed thread. The s are in compliance with ASTM A1 or ASTM A722 standards, depending on their design requirements. Hot Rolled Thread Bars have been successfully used throughout the world for decades. Their main applications are: Geotechnical Applications: as soil nails, micropiles or prestressed rock and soil anchors. Mining and Tunneling: as mining or tunneling anchors for roof and sidewalls. Post Tensioning Applications: as longitudinal and transversal tendons. Reinforcing Applications: as reinforcing steel in walls, slabs, columns for high rise buildings, drill shafts, power plants and any other form of concrete construction. Form Ties and Tie Rods: as application for various Tie Rod construction systems, sheet piling, tieback retaining walls, frame structures. For any special requirements call us today! Advantages of : US DOMESTIC Hot Rolled Thread Bar. Hot Rolled Thread Bars are one of the strongest, simplest, most robust and cost efficient steel systems in the industry. The continuous hot rolled thread along the entire length of the bar allows the bars to be cut, spliced and anchored with couplers or nuts at any point along the bar. In contrast to cold rolled thread bars, the Hot Rolled Thread Bar does not impact the microstructure of the steel cross section and the overall strength of the bar. Machined cut threaded bars have a strength reduction of up to 2% of the threaded area. The two flat sides on the Hot Rolled Thread Bar eliminate jamming of nuts or couplers. The thread is self cleaning. Hot Rolled Thread Bar is available in various forms: as an uncoated steel bar as a coated steel bar with epoxy or zinc coating and as DCP (double corrosion protected) steel bar anchor, as per PTI recommendations.... page 2... page 3

Bars have to be engaged 1/2 of the Coupler length. If Bars are torqued against each other no Nuts are required. If Bars are not torqued, and the splice has to develop the Guts of the Bar in tension and compression, Anchor Nuts shall be used and tightened against each end of the Coupler. If Lock Nuts are used instead of Anchor Nuts the splice will develop the Guts of the Bar in tension but only 0% of the guts of the Bar in compression. Coated Bars: all Grade 80 and 97 CTS Bars are HRTB (Hot Rolled Thread Bars) and can be epoxy coated as per ASTM A77 or galvanized as per ASTM A123. The hardware for these Bars has to be oversized.
