Kigali Bus Services Ltd. was incorporated in January 2006 in Kigali Rwanda. The Company started operations in March 2007 with just a few buses! We now operate a fleet of 50 Buses throughout Kigali City and are the largest city bus company in Rwanda employing over 250 staff Introduction

Recently the Rwanda Development Board approved Kigali Bus Services Limited for cooperation with the World Bank, one of only ten companies in Rwanda to obtain such certification! Our Headquarters

Assembly Plant & Development Area We have also purchased a 12 Hectare sight located only 10 kilometres from Kigali City where we shall build the factory unit for the Bus Assembly Plant as well as a Commercial Development, Bus Depot, Fuel Centre Storage and Petrol Station as well as a Washing and maintenance centre. This facility will employ 600 staff.

Of the Top Ten growing Economies in the last 12 Years, 6* are African! Over the next five years Africa s is likely to take the lead. In other words, the average African economy will outpace its Asian counterpart. The economy in Rwanda has shown steady growth of over the past years and in 2010 reached 7.5% according to the National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda. This year, 2011, it is estimated that to reach 8.2% as predicted by the Ministry of Finance in their Budget Framework Paper 2010/2011 & 2012/2013. This growth rate for Rwanda over ten years to 2010 put it in the top ten countries for economic growth worldwide. Rwandan Economy

According to the Ministry of Transport the required number of bus trips for Kigali are The total bus trips in Kigali City for the year 2012 and 2016 are estimated to be 48,500 & 63,500 per day The Ministry has also calculated that Kigali City needs at least 343 over 50 seat capacity buses!* This does not include intercity buses or buses for other cities!
