Polyurethane timing belts Product Range Rydell offers the most comprehensive range of polyurethane timing belts available to satisfy all industry requirements. www.rydell.com.au
Endless Belts R Gates Synchro-Power Truly Endless Belts R Gates Synchro-Power polyurethane belts are designed for long lasting and energy-efficient performance on both power transmission and linear applications. They are built in endless and open-end versions in various sizes, constructions and tooth designs, handling a wide range of loads, speeds and applications. Polyurethane is extremely wear and fatigue resistant and at the same time highly flexible. Product quality is visible through numerous details. Tolerances are tight and accurate, perfect tooth meshing is achieved. Gates R Synchro-Power blue sleeves are the most recent addition to the polyurethane belt product range. They are available up to 380mm wide and can be easily recognised by their blue colour. Construction The polyurethane body offers excellent abrasion resistance and therefore a very clean running system without accumulation of debris. The polyurethane teeth offer exceptional rigidity, which reduces tooth flexing and ensures more stability in your overall system. R Synchro-Power sleeves are truly endless and have no joint, and are supplied with steel tensile cords. T2.5, T5, DT5, T10, DT10 AT5, AT10 MXL, XL, L, H Advantages Endless belts Wide range of tooth profiles to meet all application requirements Clean, quiet and smooth running operation No lubrication required Standard product suited for -5C up to +70C Suited for harsh environments Broad aplication range: automatic assembly operations, printing, conveying, packaging..and many more
Linear (Open Length) Belts XL, L, H, XH T5, T10, T20, AT5, AT10, AT20 R R R HTD 5, HTD 8, HTD 14, Gates Linear (Open Length) Belts Next to endless belts, Rydell offers a comprehensive range of open-end belts which can be easily cut off to the required length. Long Length open-end synchronous belts are especially suited for linear movements (automated doors, warehouse conveyors and elevators), accurate positioning (machine tools, x-y co-ordinate machines) and reversal drives. Advantages Long Length High positional accuracy Length stability, due to high modulus tensile members Suited for harsh environments Easy to attach with clamping fixtures Maintenance free, no re-tensioning required, No lubrication required Roll lengths up to 100m available (Special lengths upon request) Standard product suited for -5C up to +70C Clean, quiet and smooth running Wide range of standard tooth profiles
Linear (Self Tracking) Belts Gates Linear (Self Tracking) Belts Self tracking timing belts have all the capabilities of standard urethane timing belts but utilise guides to eliminate any lateral movement. Our range of specially designed urethane V-guides are notched along the belt length to provide optimum flexibility around pulleys. Features Self Tracking V-guides can be added to virtually any of our belts, eliminating the need for flanged pulleys V-guides produced with the same durable urethane as the base belt Integrally produced with the belt for durability or fabricated to fit onto our existing belts Notched construction for extra flexibility around small pulleys Wide Belts Gates Mectrol can produce urethane timing belts in widths up to 450 mm. These belts are specifically designed for synchronous conveying applications. Wide belts are primarily used as process conveyor belts, where the wider width is required Features: Wide Belts High strength kevlar cord construction Parallel cord construction No cords exposed at the edge of the belt Better tracking Tough polyurethane construction Choice of polymers including FDA grades No lubrication required
Profiled Belts PU timing belts with lugs, profiles or attachments Our timing belts can be customised with welded profiles to meet specific application requirements. The moulded profiles are made of tough polyurethane and become an integral part of the belt through thermal bonding. Profiles can be made and supplied in nearly every shape and construction. Our timing belts with welded profiles are used extensively in packaging, general conveying and other automation equipement applications.
Coated Belts PU timing belts with special coatings Most belt types can be modified to achieve a desired coefficient of friction, or particular effect required, according to the application. Special coatings include polyurethane, rubber, foam, PVC and silicone. Polyurethane is the most abrasion proof, resilient and durable backing. It is available in different thicknesses and hardnesses. Excellent friction Good abrasion resistance Good durability vs. chemicals, oils and fats Available with FDA / EU food approval Rubber backings are commonly used in industries such as wood and glass processing, based on their high coefficient of friction and temperature resistance, as well as good abrasion resistance. Excellent friction Good abrasion resistance Good durability vs. Temperature Flexibility at low temperatures Available with FDA approval Foam backings are commonly used in glass, paper, textile and wood processing due to their flexibility. Excellent compressibility Good abrasion resistance Excellent coefficient of friction Good durability vs. Chemicals, oil and fat Polyvinylchloride (PVC) backings are commonly used in glass, wood and food processing. Various FDA/EU approvals for different PVC backings allow applications in the food sector where good hygiene is required Good durability vs. Acids and chemicals Good resistance to atmosphere Very adhesive Available with FDA/EU approval Available with various surface textures such as rough top and sawtooth Silicone backings are used when good release or high friction properties are needed. High coefficient of friction Excellent release
Additional Items PU timing belt accessories To compliment our extensive range of polyurethane timing belts, we offer a complete drive package, including timing pulleys in a variety of constructions. We have a dedicated engineering department who can discuss with you, the best drive setup for your application, to tailor a custom package to suit your needs. PU timing belt joining For linear applications, belt clamps are commonly employed to fix the ends of open length timing belt. They are available in a number of sizes to suit your belt type. For belts that have to be installed on your machine, we have joining moulds and vulcanising tools, to allow quick installation, to eliminate dismantling of your equipment to fit a belt, and get you running in the shortest amount of time.
