Inspect: 1. Check for damaged, deformed, cracked, corroded, loose, worn or missing parts, fasteners and welds 2. Touch up any damaged painted surfaces to prevent further corrosion 3. Ensure that the gasket / seal is in good condition (No cuts, abrasions, protrusions, etc.) 3. Remove standing water 4. Lubricate as needed (Hatch hinges and pins) Bulwark Gates: Inspect: (All) 1. Condition and lubrication of hinge pins 2. Proper alignment of the gates in a closed position 3. Condition and lubrication of hold backs 4. Condition and lubrication of the latch pins Weathertight Doors: Inspect: (All) 1. Closure device to ensure freedom of movement 2. Freedom of movement of door hinges and grease as needed 3. Proper door alignment between frame knife edge and door gasket channel or door sealing surfaces ensuring that there are no nicks, burrs, distortions, etc. and ensure proper contact with the gasket or sealing arrangement 4.
