Ensure that the gasket / seal is in good condition (No cuts, abrasions, protrusions, etc.) 3. Remove standing water 4. Lubricate as needed (Hatch hinges and pins) Bulwark Gates: Inspect: (All) 1. Condition and lubrication of hinge pins 2. Proper alignment of the gates in a closed position 3. Condition and lubrication of hold backs 4. Condition and lubrication of the latch pins Weathertight Doors: Inspect: (All) 1. Closure device to ensure freedom of movement 2. Freedom of movement of door hinges and grease as needed 3. Proper door alignment between frame knife edge and door gasket channel or door sealing surfaces ensuring that there are no nicks, burrs, distortions, etc. and ensure proper contact with the gasket or sealing arrangement 4. Inspect the dog engagement for proper contact and closing force 5. Test the door alarm (if outfitted) Monitors: (All) Inspect: 1. Damage / corrosion 2. Loose Hardware 3. Leaking hydraulic hoses and fittings 4. Repair paint damage Wheelhouse: 1. Sweep, mop and polish floors 2. Dust / degrease all surfaces 3. Remove scuff marks from cabinetry 4. Towel dry all dark painted / bare metal surfaces 5. Clean / polish stacks Wheelhouse: 1. Soap / Degrease all surfaces 2. Prevent corrosion (Ospho or Oxalic acid followed by soap and water) 3. Towel dry all dark painted / bare metal surfaces 4. Wash and dry windows Boat Deck: 1. Soap / degrease all surfaces w/ soft brushes 2.
