Notes

PRO 300 and PRO 00 Guns Install Air Cap Blank and Tip Housing To reduce the risk of serious injury, including fluid injection, splashing in the eyes or on the skin or electrostatic shock, always follow the Pressure Relief Procedure in your gun manual before removing the gun for cleaning. 1. Relieve the gun pressure, then remove the gun from the air and fluid supply lines. 3. Using the parts from the kit, place the air cap blank (1) into the air cap nut (2) and secure them with the retaining ring (3). See Fig... Install the parts on the gun. Tighten the air cap nut (2) until it is snug. To avoid damaging the fluid nozzle, do not over tighten the nut. 2 1 3 2. Pointing the gun down, unscrew and remove the air cap assembly (E) from the gun. See Fig.. Set aside the air cap assembly to clean separately. Fig. 03681 E Fig. 03680. Screw the fluid inlet adapter () onto the gun fluid inlet and install the adapter on the gun support (). See Fig. 6. 6. To lock the gun trigger in the open position, install the wire trigger lock (7) around the gun handle and trigger. 7 Fig. 6 03682

PRO 300 and PRO 00 Guns To reduce the risk of electrostatic shock, fire, or explosion; which could result in serious injury and property damage, be sure to follow these precautions. Make sure the ES ON-OFF valve lever (electrostatics) is OFF before cleaning the gun. Never allow solvent to enter the air passage of any electrostatic gun. Never place the gun air inlet over a gun support. Only use the fluid inlet adapter provided with the gun washer. Follow the spray gun manufacturer s cleaning recommendations and the solvent material safety data sheets when selecting a solvent. Always use solvent with the highest possible flashpoint. Use only non-conductive solvent when cleaning electrostatic guns. 7. Operate the gun washer as instructed in the gun washer manual. Clean the gun air cap assembly as instructed in the gun manual. 8. Remove the gun from the gun washer and blow or wipe any solvent remaining on the gun exterior. 9. Remove the kit air cap assembly (1, 2, 3). See Fig.. 10. Install the gun air cap assembly (E) on the gun. Tighten the retaining nut firmly. See Fig.. Parts Drawing 8 7 11. Place the gun in its hanging bracket, with the nozzle pointing down as shown in Fig. 7, until it is used again. Fig. 7 03683 CAUTION Always hang the gun with its nozzle pointing down to avoid having solvent run into the gun air passages. Solvent in the gun air passages can cause poor atomization and excessive current demands and can damage the gun. Parts List Ref.
