2 11 Page 2 THANK YOU FOR CHOOSING OUR ELECTRIC ASSISTED TRICYCLE OUR E-TRIKE CAN BE OPERATED VERY EASILY. IT CAN BE OPERATED BY THE MOTOR ALONE OR BY PEDALING ALONE OR A COMBINATION OF BOTH AT THE SAME TIME.IN ORDER TO GIVE YOU A LONG AND SAFE USAGE. PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING. SAFTEY CHECK BEFORE RIDING YOUR BICYCLE 1. CHECK AND TIGHTEN ALL NUTS, BOLTS, STRAPS AND FASTENERS 2. CHECK THAT BRAKES OPERATE CORRECTLY 3. CHECK TYRES FOR WEAR, DAMAGE AND CORRECT PRESSURES. PRESSURES ARE USUALY WRITTEN ON TYRE WALLS. 4. CHECK WHEELS FOR TRUENESS 5. CHECK LIGHTS FOR OPERATION AND AD- JUSTMENT 6. CHECK AUDIBLE WARNING DEVICE (BELL OR HORN) 7. CHECK HANDLE BARS AND SEAT MAKING SURE THEY ARE CORRECTLY ALIGNED AND CAN T TWIST OR TURN ALWAYS WEAR AN APPROVED BICYCLE HELMET AND OBEY THE ROAD RULES AT ALL TIMES

10 3 Page 3 YOUR TRICYCLE IS DESIGNED FOR USE ONLY ON PAVED ROADS OR PATHS (WHERE THE LAWS PERMIT). DO NOT USE OFF THESE SURFACES. OPERATION PERFORM SAFTEY CHECKS AND ADJUST SEAT FOR COMFORTABLE RIDING. THE ROCKER SWITCH ON THROTTLE HANDLE TURNS THE MOTOR ON OR OFF. SQUEEZE LEFT HAND BRAKE AND ALIGHT TRIKE FROM SAME SIDE. POSITION YOUR SELF ON TRIKE WITH BOTH FEET ON THE PEDALS NOT ON THE GROUND. USE HANDBRAKE TO MAINTAIN A STATIONARY POSI- TION. YOUR TRIKE IS NOW READY TO GO. YOU MAY EITHER PEDAL OR BY TWISTING THE R/HAND GRIP BACK TOWARDS YOU USE THE ELECTRIC MOTOR. THE FURTHER YOU TWIST THE FASTER YOU WILL TRAVEL. APPLYING EITHER HANDBRAKE WILL CUT MOTOR POWER AUTOMATICALLY. TRIKES REQUIRE YOU TO TURN HANDLE BAR MUCH MORE THAN A 2WHEEL BIKE AND REQUIRE YOU TO MANUALLY TURN THE HANDLE BAR BACK TO THE STRAIGHT AHEAD POSITION OTHERWISE YOU WILL KEEP TRAVELLING IN CIRCLES.

4 Page 4 CHARGING YOU MUST ONLY USE THE CHARGER THAT WE SUPPLY WITH TRICYCLE ONLY USE IN A DRY, WELL-VENTILATED ENVIRONMENT. With the lead unplugged from 240v power supply plug into point located on right-hand side of battery. Plug into standard 240v household power supply and switch on. You will see a red light on charger, this indicates the unit is on and charging the battery. When charged light will change to green and charger will switch and go into maintenance mode. It is alright to leave it in this mode for a short period of time but we recommend that you turn it off and unplug from power point and bike after 12 hours. 9 REMEMBER ALWAYS SWITCH OFF AT POWER POINT BEFORE PLUGGING OR UNPLUGGING FROM TRICYCLE MAXIMUM BATTERY LIFE WILL BE ACHIEVED BY CHARGING EVERY DAY AFTER BEING USED. BATTERIES LEFT IN A SEMI-DISCHARGED STATE COULD PREMATURELY FAIL. Using the Handbrake Lock The handbrake lock can be used to keep brakes persistently on while you are not holding the handbrake. To engage the handbrake lock, while holding the handbrake on, push the handbrake lock down and release the handbrake. The lock should keep the handbrake on without you holding it. To release the handbrake lock, simply squeeze the handbrake on. The lock should return to its disengaged position automatically.

8 5 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS FOR MOTOR ASSISTANCE After completing safety check insert key into battery and turn clockwise to the ON position. Alight tricycle and place both feet on pedals. The display should light up when you turn the key on. This indicates that the tricycle is on. The display acts as a speedometer, battery level indicator and odometer. In order to use the motor, release the handbrake and slowly push the thumb throttle downwards. The further you twist, the faster you will go. You may also simply pedal away, and use the gears to adjust speed.
