BYD e6 BYD e6 is a 5-seat, pure electric vehicle with an extended wheelbase of 2830mm. It is the generous size and comfort of BYD e6 that set it apart from other electric vehicles in any current classification. In contrast to the electric vehicle competitors, BYD e6 features a spacious interior cabin with substantial legroom and headroom for passengers, as well as ample luggage space in the rear. BYD e6 boasts a powerful drive-train and adopts BYD s independently developed EV battery the Fe battery and a 75kW motor, powering the e6 to a range of 300km (186 miles) on a single charge in urban conditions with a top speed of 140km/h and instant torque providing excellent acceleration. The environmental friendly e6 is a zero emission electric vehicle, which means that it emits no harmful toxic emissions, criteria pollutants or harmful greenhouse gases. Equipped with BYD s newly developed AC on-board charging system, BYD e6 can be fully recharged in around 2 hours with 30kW charging power. BYD e6 Advantages 4000 Long Service Life The Fe battery can be fully charged and discharged for more than 4,000 cycles. After 4,000 charging cycles, the capacity retention of the Fe battery still remains at more than 75%. If we conservatively presume that the e6 travels 260km on one single charge, the e6 is able to travel more than 1 million kilometers (or 621,400 miles) in its life cycle, which can comfortably meet the needs of taxis and private cars. Bi-directional Charging and Discharging Technology The Bi-directional Charging and Discharging technology is a world-class revolutionary know-how, which makes the electric vehicle independent of any specialized charging stations. The electric vehicle itself can function as (while turning the EV into) a mobile power storage station. This Bi-directional technology will transform the way people usually charge their electric vehicles, a significant boost to the electric vehicles. The essence of this technology lies in the fact that BYD successfully integrates the functions of the driving motor, in-car charger and DC charging station, and is capable of converting the AC power from the grid to DC to charge the vehicle battery, while vice versa in discharging. All functions are achieved through the processor based motor controller. Vehicle to Grid During the off-peak hours, user can expect to charge the vehicle from the grid and store energy in the internal battery. While during peak hours, the user can opt to transmit power from the internal battery back to the grid as an emergency power source, which can help the grid to achieve load shifting and pressure reducing. Vehicle to Vehicle This function can help to realize the intercharging between two electric vehicles in an emergency situation in case one vehicle has run out of battery capacity. In the event of power blackout, one EV (internal battery) can be charged via another. Vehicle to Loads When the EV user is isolated from the power grid, an electric vehicle can supply A/C power (i.e. single or three-phase) to any electric appliances under 15kW.
