EASA added value for research: European Plan for Aviation Safety (EPAS) EASA Research Activities 7
What is EPAS? EPAS is defined in the European Aviation Safety Programme EPAS is a European action plan on safety which is endorsed by the EASA management board EPAS the outcome of a Safety Risk Management process performed in coordination with Industry and States EPAS is a key element of the Commission s aviation strategy, designated to become mandatory through the new Basic Regulation EASA Research Activities 8
EASA added value for research: European Aviation Environmental Report New Basic Regulation 2018/1139, Article 87.4 at least every three years, publish an environmental review, which shall give an objective account of the state of environmental protection primarily rely on information already available to Union institutions and bodies shall also contain recommendations aiming to improve the level of environmental protection https://www.easa.europa.eu/eaer/ EASA Research Activities 9
