It is used principally for fluid linked power steering systems, but can be used for some servo-type applications where visual positioning is required. Eaton s new Series 10 steering units are a blend of all the capabilities of the previous Standard and Metric Steering units with some new, exciting features. Torque Generators - Eaton / Char-Lynn High torque rotary power with low manual input. The combination of control valve and power elements in a single unit provides an economical power steering unit for many vehicles. Control valving is open centre and the power stream fluid circulates through the unit back to the reservoir at very low pressure when the system is not being used.
