This new option helps improve traction and maneuverability in demanding terrain. The rotating and auto-leveling cabin provides unobstructed visibility to the end of the boom and the harvester head. Other new features include improved hydraulics and Processing Power Control (PPC) to increase productivity by five to 15 percent. Owner point of view: The eight-wheel-drive experience Previously, our company had only six-wheeled John Deere machines, so it s easy to see the benefits of the eight-wheel drive for harvesting. In the terrain we work in, we notice the benefits the new machine brings everywhere, from the forest roads all the way to the logging sites where the slopes are quite high and steep. The approach angle both to the front and rear is perfect. Technically, it is an excellent solution. The tractive force of the machine can now be fully utilized and has also increased, allowing us to drive the eight-wheeler on very steep slopes without the machine losing any stability. Processing Power Control (PPC) I use the PPC function a lot. All you need to do is to select one of the three power levels with a push of a button, even while processing, and the software takes care of the rest. There is always enough power, and you will save fuel.
