Progrmming Lock Codes Progrmming Lock Codes CODE FUNCTIONS: The MPC Cor is mnully progrmmle to hve up to 100 codes. The codes cn hve different functions s descried elow. Severl types of functions hve fctory defult vlues which re opertionl s soon s the lock is instlled. It is highly recommended tht the Progrmming Code e chnged (this will delete ll fctory defult codes) nd new codes e dded. In ddition, it is recommended tht t lest one Freeze/Lockout Code e dded - in cse the tteries get completely drined. (See Bttery Informtion on elow.) All codes cn e 3-8 digits in length (except the Progrmming code which must e 5-8 digits.) Keep log of ll issued codes. Issue codes exclusively with ll odd or ll even numers - this prctice will mke it esier to spot duplicte codes, since ech keypd utton represents two numers (for exmple, code 246 is identicl to code 135.) FUNCTION FACTORY DEFAULT DESCRIPTION The progrmming code puts the lock into progrmming mode. It will not unlock the lock. When Progrmming code plus * is entered the LEDs lterntely flsh severl times indicting the lock is in progrmming mode. If more thn 30 seconds pss in etween progrmming entries, the lock returns to norml opertionl stte. XXX Norml codes unlock the lock for the relock time dely. While the lock is unlocked the green LED will flsh. The LED will stop flshing nd the lock will relock. xxx Toggle codes unlock the lock indefinitely. When the sme (or nother) toggle code is entered, the lock will immeditely relock. When toggle code is entered, the green LED will flsh once. The LED will stop flshing nd the lock will relock. xxx Freeze/Lockout codes prevent other codes from working. The lock cn e locked or unlocked when one is entered. If it is locked, Pss Thru code will unlock it ut ll other codes will not. Only nother Lockout code will reverse the effect. xxx One Use codes unlock the lock for the relock time dely. They will only work once nd then re deleted from memory. They cn used gin if they re progrmmed (dded) into memory gin. Supervised codes require tht two different supervised codes entered in order to unlock the lock for the relock time dely. xxx Pss Thru codes will unlock the door for the relock time dely even if the door is in the lockout mode. BATTERY INFORMATION: The MPC Cor uses four, stndrd AA tteries. The tteries should provide enough life for pproximtely 80,000 lock/unlock cycles. When the tteries re running out the lock provides two different modes of low ttery indiction: First, when code is entered, the red LED will flsh twelve times efore the lock executes the commnd of the code. This is n indiction tht it is time to replce the tteries. The lock will go for out 500 cycles in this condition. After it reches certin point the lock will go into Low Bttery Lockout mode. A Freeze/Lockout code will need to e entered in order gin ccess. If the tteries re not chnged, the lock will eventully not work nd mnul key override (if instlled) will need to e used. CLEARING MEMORY: Clering memory will delete ll progrmmed codes nd restore fctory defult codes. If the memory ever needs to e ersed follow the steps elow: 1. Remove the inside escutcheon. Remove one of the tteries. 2. Press ny key. 3. Hold down the * key nd reinstll the ttery. Continue holding the * key down. The red LED will flsh few times nd then sty on. 4. Relese the * key. 5. Instll the inside escutcheon. Note: to return the lock to the fctory defult relock time dely, do steps 1-4 twice in row. 57010-H Pge 10 12-19-2005
Progrmming Steps Progrmming Steps Use the steps on this pge to progrm codes into the lock. The * key is used like the <ENTER> key is on computer. After pressing the * key, wit for the red nd green LEDs to stop flshing efore proceeding to the next step. If t ny time the red LED stys on while the green LED flshes n error hs occurred. The flshing messge will repet three times. Count the numer of flshes nd consult the error code chrt elow.
