FOREWORD The Executors of Malcolm Pearson have instructed Northallerton Auctions to conduct the farm dispersal sale. All items are genuine and have been well maintained and looked after over the years with most of the larger items of machinery & tractors having been stored inside since being purchased. Malcolm enjoyed servicing and maintaining his machines and a lot of pride has been taken in the machinery available at the sale. GENERAL INFORMATION VIEWING Viewing for the sale at the following times only; by appointment only on Wednesday 19 th September and from 2.00pm on Thursday 20 th September. BUYERS BIDDING NUMBER Prospective purchasers are required to register for a bidding number specific to this sale before placing bids. BUYERS PREMIUM Buyers Premium at 5% plus VAT will be added to hammer price of all lots PAYMENT OF OUTSTANDING ACCOUNTS Buyers must note that all accounts must be settled in full on the day of the sale. All purchasers unknown to the Auctioneers and wishing to pay by cheque must make one of the following arrangements prior to the sale day. 1) Arrange with your bank to bring a Guaranteed Cheque with you 2) A letter from your Bank stating the amount, up to which your cheque will be honoured, letters must specify the sale and date, and must not be a photocopy or fax. Cash payments will be accepted on the day. Please note, credit cards will not be accepted. TAKING AWAY OF GOODS Purchasers may only take goods after the sale has ended, and will only be released with a PASSOUT. Items to be paid for in full before removing from the sale. All items purchased must be removed by Monday 24 th September. Failure of purchasers to remove lots within the given time frame will incur storage charges, payable on collection. Purchasers must note that all lots become their responsibility upon the fall of the hammer. 2
FACILITIES AT THE SALE A catering trailer will be in attendance on Thursday 20 th September from 2.00pm. LIABILITY The vendor & Auctioneers will not accept any responsibility or liability for the loss or damage to lots left on the sale ground and buyers are reminded that upon the fall of the hammer they are liable for the purchased lot. Whilst every attempt is made to ensure that descriptions are accurate no guarantees are either given or implied, machinery hours given are those recoded at the time of cataloguing. HEALTH & SAFETY It is the purchaser s responsibility to ensure that all plant machinery or equipment complies with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 before such items are used at a place of work.
