Operating the Tractor SHIFTING THE HI-LO SHIFT UNIT The operator can change in each gear from low speed (A) to high speed (8) and vice versa, without using the clutch. Shifting from High to Low decreases the ground travel speed by 210/o and provides up to 270/o increase in pulling power in any of the travel speeds. A-Low speed 8-High speed When shutting off the engine, the Hi-Lo shift unit automatically shifts to low speed. L12488A L 19165A.L 12488A-940ALE-260983 ENGAGING CREEPER TRANSMISSION CAUTION: Engage creeper transmission in I (Low) range or reverse range only. To engage or disengage the creeper transmission, depress clutch pedal and raise control lever lock (C). Never engage creeper transmission with engine speed higher than 1000 rpm. Maximum permissible load is the same as for a tractor with standard transmission. A-Creeper speed 8-High speed C-Control lever lock A B L 14797A L30693A.L 14797 A-940ALE-270983 28
Three-Point Hitch FLAT STEEL DRAFT LINKS This type of draft link can be used for category I or II implements. When installing category I implements, install adapter bushings in draft links and center link. L35359-940ALE-071083 TELESCOPIC DRAFT LINKS Telescopic draft links can be used for category II implements only. L30534 To facilitate hitching of implements, telescopic draft links can be extended to the rear. Lift lock pin (A). Pull telescopic draft links to the rear (8). After attaching and securing implements to draft links, reverse tractor until the lock pins snap into place. L30534,L30535A-940ALE-071083 56
