Duffy, Goodheart-Willcox Company, Inc. 2014 Course Description: Students will learn skills needed for maintaining their own automobiles and types of services needed to make a vehicle last for a long time. Students will also learn how to communicate with mechanics to make sure they are getting the proper service at the correct price. Units of study include: car wash, oil change, coolant checks, tire care, brake checks, tune ups, and computer diagnosis. STUDENTS CAN PROVIDE THEIR OWN REPAIR PARTS OR PURCHASE AUTOMOTIVE PARTS AT A DISCOUNT AS A BENEFIT OF THIS CLASS.
