Thoroughly tested design The Grundfos booster systems are robust and thoroughly tested. All main components are manufactured by Grundfos, which guarantees optimum performance under all circumstances. Grundfos CR/CRE pumps The booster systems are based on the worldrenowned Grundfos CR/CRE multistage centrifugal pumps that guarantee reliable and troublefree operation with very high efficiency. The CRE pumps combine the ultimate in multistage pumping technology available on the market today powered by a highly efficient Grundfos motor with integrated frequency converter. CRE pump speed can be varied within a wide range. This ensures optimum flexibility of the pressure booster output. 3
Optimum user comfort Colombo Shopping Centre, Lisbon, Portugal, where a Grundfos Hydro 2000 MF 4 CR 30-50 is boosting water pressure. Advanced control facilities The advanced Grundfos Control 2000 offers straightforward operation. The controller can switch the system on/off and up to six pumps connected in parallel to ensure constant pressure in the system. This can be supplemented by pipe-loss compensation, which improves comfort and contributes to energy savings. The controller unit ensures optimum user comfort and low operating costs. Constant pressure, pipe-loss compensation, timer program, alternative set point, pump priority and bus communication are just some of the features available. Easy to install and service The booster systems are compact units with all service parts easily accessible. The pumps are fitted with optimised suction and discharge manifolds, including all necessary shut-off and non-return valves. A hard-wearing, easy-to-replace cartridge seal facilitates servicing and minimises downtime. The pressure transmitter fitted to the system ensures instant control. Apart from being highly corrosion-resistant the stainless steel frame and manifolds ensure water quality and cleanliness. 4
Low operating costs > The Grundfos pressure boosting systems offer outstanding reliability and operating efficiency second to none. The variable speed systems minimise the risk of water hammer and subsequent pipe damage. These systems can be constantly monitored via a control unit that can be linked to any external building management system. A built-in stop function ensures that the system is automatically put on stand-by water demand, whenever there is no demand for water in the system. The constant pressure control with pipe loss compensation ensures optimum user comfort at all times regardless of variations in demand. Combined, these features generate substantial long-term savings on energy consumption and maintenance costs and, thus, make for very favourable long-term cost of ownership.
