factor volumes AEB Fitment - Standard Honda HR-V The all-new HR-V, (known as the Vezel in Japan), is a new crossover, derived from the Jazz. The HR-V has Honda s highly practical Magic Seat system, allowing for numerous loading configurations. All UK models will be launched as two wheel drive.
Structure The platform and bodyshell of the new HR-V form a highly rigid structure, with 27% of the body made of high-strength steel (HSS) and Advanced High Strength steel (AHSS) and featuring improved rigidity. The rigid body structure gives the front MacPherson strut and H-type torsion beam rear suspension a low centre of gravity and minimised body roll. The HR-V incorporates Honda s Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE ) body structure technology to distribute crash energy more evenly throughout the front of the vehicle, reducing the forces transferred to the passenger compartment. The structural elements of ACE also reduce the potential for under-ride or over-ride situations that can happen in impacts with a larger or smaller vehicle.
Technology All models are fitted with Honda`s City-Brake Active System (Autonomous Emergency Braking system) as standard to help avoid or mitigate low speed accidents. The system uses laser/ radar technology to scan the road ahead, automatically applying the brakes if an imminent risk of collision is detected at speeds below 20 mph. The system provides audible and visual warnings, eventually followed by full autonomous braking. SE & EX models will be fitted with Honda`s Driver Assistance Safety Pack which uses radar, plus front and rear facing cameras. This includes Forward Collision Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition, Intelligent Speed Limiter, Lane Departure Warning and High Beam Support System: Forward Collision Warning Forward Collision Warning uses a multi-purpose camera to detect the risk of collision with a vehicle (car or truck) directly in front. The system operates at 15 km/h and above, giving visual and audible warnings. The warning distance can be adjusted to the driver s preference. Lane Departure Warning Lane Departure Warning also uses the multi-purpose camera to track lane markings on the road to detect if the car deviates from its current lane without indicating, alerting the driver with audible and visual warnings. The system can be turned off by the driver. High Beam Support System High Beam Support System works at speeds above 40 km/h to switch the headlamp High Beam on or off automatically depending on oncoming or preceding cars, bicycles and the ambient environmental brightness. Blind Spot Information Blind Spot Information uses radar to detect vehicles in the driver s blind spot and warn of potential dangers when the vehicle is travelling at speeds above 20 km/h. The system detects cars and other vehicles to support drivers in situations such as passing other vehicles, or merging or changing lanes. The visual warning is displayed on the door mirror. This remains until the vehicle leaves the blind spot and if the driver operates the indicator whilst the vehicle is in the blind spot, the visual warning will blink and an audible warning will sound to alert the driver to the potential risk.
Cross Traffic Monitor Honda s Cross Traffic Monitor system uses rear side radar sensors to warn the driver of approaching vehicles whilst he/she is reversing. The direction of an approaching vehicle is shown on the i-mid and an audible warning sound is given. Traffic Sign Recognition Traffic Sign Recognition system uses the multi-purpose camera to detect, recognise and display the road signs displaying speed limits and No Passing information. SE & EX models have the Honda Connect infotainment system which is an Android-based system with pre-installed applications giving access to internet services including web browsing, real-time traffic information, news, weather and social media. These are accessed via the 7 touchscreen. Trim levels : S, SE and EX S features a Climate Control system, cruise control, automatic headlamps, 16 wheels and Honda`s City-Brake Active System (CTBA is an AEB system). SE adds: front and rear parking sensors, automatic wipers, Honda Connect infotainment system, 7 touchscreen display, dual-zone climate control and Honda`s Driver Assistance Safety Pack. EX adds: full leather interior, smart entry and start, rear view camera, integrated Garmin navigation, an opening panoramic glass sunroof and 17 alloy wheels. A number of option packs are available: Chrome Pack; Robust Pack; Aero Pack; Illumination Pack; Convenience Pack; Cargo Pack; Milano Red Pack.
