2900 Series Features & Functions Compact - Automatic Operator Dor-O-Matic Automated Openings The Dor-O-Matic 2900 Series Compact Automatic Sliding Door Operator combines understated elegance with robust functionality. The innovative design brings together a slimline modular system for accurate installation with advanced componentry to provide enhanced control of the operating modes. The operator is a self contained electro-mechanical drive unit for surface applied applications on new or replacement doors. With an overall height of just 10.5cm and depth of 13cm the 2900 Series is designed to aesthetically fit onto existing profiles. The 2900 Series installation process facilitates fast and accurate assembly of an automatic door operator using an integrated modular interlocking system. A B A B C D All drive components are assembled onto the chassis assembly which easily fits into the main body extrusion Maintenance free self contained motor gear box drive unit with positional encoder Self monitoring battery pack to drive the door to the open/closed position in the event of power failure Simple plug-in connector between the micro processor controller and the digital keypad ensures positive connection G E The microprocessor controller has positional sense of the door at all times and controls the operation of the door following the settings from the user interface (UI) F Switched mode Power Supply Unit (PSU) transforms, rectifies and regulates the supply voltage of 240 volts to 24 volts DC. Intrinsic within the PSU is a thermal and current overload protection with automatic reset H Robust clip holds the cover securely in place G Robust secure slide fit cover clip which allows easy access for routine maintenance and repair H Stylish cover design supplied in elegant satin anodised aluminium or a range of hardwearing powder coated RAL colours. The cover can be self-located in the 90 open position for easy access I High density rollers ensure smooth and quiet operation utilising an anti riser roller to prevent perpendicular movement J The drive belt is made from Kevlar material that gives low friction and high resistance to wear and tear K User interface (UI) module communicates with the microprocessor controller to enable all operating functions to be set. It also displays the current operating mode on the integral LCD screen Stylish end-cap design in charcoal grey, high impact thermoplastic completes the overall aesthetic page 1
2900 Series Features & Functions Straight out of the Box! The 2900 Series operator can be delivered ready to install. Alternatively, Ingersoll Rand can provide a 'commission only' service or a full installation and commissioning service. All Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies' engineers are qualified to BS7036. Safety Features Side Screen Safety (refer to Zone B, page 4) Threshold Safety (refer to Zone A, page 4) Automatic auto reverse when an obstacle is encountered during the opening or closing cycle Automatic door opening in the case of power failure (battery operated) Interface to building alarm or smoke detection systems to drive the door open or closed during the alarm state C D E J F Thoughtful Design The 2900 Series cover is designed to assist easy maintenance by enabling the cover to be raised and held open. The cover does not need to be removed and the sensors can be left in situ whilst it is in the open position. To release simply click the cover back in place and swing it down to the closed position again, securing it with the concealed cover clip. 2900 Series Activation & Safety Internal A number of options are available for activating the automatic operator and for safely detecting the presence of a person or object in the opening/closing zone of the door(s). Zone C2 Safety In addition to the safety features incorporated within the operator, safety can be further improved by utilising the sensor presence detection units. Zone B Manual Activation Zone A Zone A Zone C1 Zone B Infra-Red Safety sensor Side Screen Safety Sensor External Dual Activation and Safety Sensor Manual Activation A push pad suitable for manual activation can be mounted onto any existing uprights to operate the door through one cycle. Morning Entry A keyswitch provides initial activation of the doors. Zone A The Dual Activation and Safety Sensor can be mounted on each side of the framework. If people or objects are detected in the doorway once in the open position the door will remain open and the unit switches to monitor the threshold safety area for any presence. From the open position up to latch position if presence is detected the door will re-open (refer to Operating Parameters diagram on Page 3). Zone B Using Side Screen Safety Sensors mounted on one side of the framework will detect if people or objects are in the area of travel of the door. As the door is opening, presence will be detected and doors will slow down and then creep to the fully open position or alternatively an audio alarm will sound (optional).
