Swing door operator DORMA CD Easy installation, aesthetic design, useful special functions! The CD from DORMA is a swing door operator that can cover both new and established areas of application. The operator has a modern, prize-winning and unobtrusive design as well as being impressively small. The low height of the unit allows it to be optimally combined with standard profile systems. The standard mounting plate provided minimises the work required for either door leaf or lintel/ top jamb fiing. After the plate has been fied, the operator is simply latched onto it; strenuous and eacting installation work is not required. The low weight of the operator (appro. 8.5 kg including the mounting plate) enables the CD to be fitted directly on the door leaf without causing ecessive hinge strain. Special functions ensure that the CD has the widest possible range of applications. Push&Go, Power Assist and an e tended hold open function all come as standard. The newly developed etended hold open function allows the door to be held open at an individually adjustable opening angle for a defined length of time of either 5 or 10 minutes. This function is particularly well-suited for use during loading and unloading operations or for ventilation purposes. Optimal cost effectiveness means that the CD can also be used to automate doors where automatic operators were previously outside of budget. The quiet operation of the CD also means that it is ideal for use in noise-sensitive areas (e.g. residential homes, offices and private dwellings). DORMA CD DORMA IRS-2 infrared safety sensor DORMA IRS-2 Safety Reversal STOP Reversing The DORMA IRS-2 safety sensor is a monitoring module designed to safeguard the sweep range of automatic swing doors. It can be mounted travelling on the hinge (pull) and opposite hinge (push) side of the door. If mounted on the opposite hinge (push) side, the DORMA IRS-2 safety sensor acts as an activator to open the door in the close range of the door. As soon as an object is located on this side of the door, the door is reopened automatically due to a new activating impulse given by the safety sensor. In case that the safety sensor on the hinge (pull) side is activated, the automatic opening action of the door is stopped in order to avoid collisions with objects in the scanning range of the IRS-2 safety sensor. The technical principle of the safety sensor ensures that people and objects are detected at the same time. The scanning range of the IRS-2 is adjustable and infrared light is used to safeguard the driving phase of the door. As an active infrared sensor, the IRS-2 detects all static and moving objects, e. g. items or people, within its scanning range. The IRS-2 is available in different lengths and with a variable number of infrared sensors. Depending on the door width, DORMA recommends to select the longest-possible IRS-2 safety sensor variant with a maimum number of integrated infrared sensors as the scanning range grows in line with the number of infrared sensors. This ensures the maimum safety of the swing door. DORMA CD System accesories CT 4/1 code keypad as control for locking devices (keypad and electronic module have to be combined) The code keypad does not require optional software for simple access authorizations. The metal keypad is waterproof and protected against manipulation thus it is also suitable for installation on the outside of a building. DORMA BRC remote system The new DORMA BRC system operates with a bi-directional BidCoS wireless protocol. In contrast to unidirectional systems, the receiver sends a message to the handheld transmitter that the signal has been received. The hand-held transmitter indicates the prevailing status via a LED. Thus a short keystroke is enough to trigger an opening pulse in a reliable way within the system s typical field range of 100 meters. The BRC-W and BRC-T transmitters are also of bi-directional design; however, the status indicator is not visible as the transmitters are integrated in pushbuttons. BRC-R The new DORMA BRC-R radio receiver may easily be installed inside the operator as its size is adapted to the available space. Simply fi it on the motor-gear-unit with two screws. We offer three different types of transmitters. Up to 1024 transmitters may be allocated to a DORMA BRC-R. The etravagant, semicircular designer signal lamp is made of acryl, manufactured according to the latest LED technology and has a high-grade LED display (24 V, brilliancy according to DIN VDE (German association of engineers) 0834, part 1).
