TANGENT SERVO WIRE FEED WF-2 P/A s new series of servo wire feeds are designed specifically for feeding wire. Feeds come in a choice of 1,2, or 3 modules. When more gripping force is required, additional modules are used to create multiple pinch points alllowing more driving force to be exerted without damaging the wire. The modules have two rolls that are easily replaced or changed for different wire shapes or sizes. Two different grooves can be provided on each roll so the rolls can be flipped in the opposite orientation and the groove will maintain the same centerline. WIRE PALLETIZER PR4W The Wire Palletizer offers the ease of loading the wire spool onto the pan and securing the wire load with a hold down rod. The Wire Palletizer uses two springs with ceramic bushings to thread the wire through the variable speed loop control head twice. This creates extra material storage for smooth consistent operation through a variable speed AC Inverter for precise control of acceleration and deceleration. This design yields consistent tension benefiting part dimensional consistency. There is a tight loop emergency stop if the variable speed loop control reaches beyond the designed travel. TRAVERSE LAYER WINDER LW18-1 The LW Semi-Manual Layer Winder is a basic winding machine designed to wind wire or strips in a traversing, side-toside manner. Once preset for a winding range, this machine will continue to fill each new reel until it is interrupted by an operator, or a tight loop condition. As the tight material strip forces the dancer arm to elevate, this engages the dancer arm/proximity sensor to change the winding speed or stop the winding process. The LW is equipped with an on/off switch and indicator lights showing power status and fault conditions. This machine is designed to place the spool and controls at a comfortable height, reducing operator fatigue. A spool change is easily accomplished by loosening and removing a shaft/spool retainer stop. Loading is performed by removing a full spool and replacing it with an empty one to begin a new winding process. TRAVERSE SPOOL REELS The P/A Traverse Spool Reel was designed to handle payoff of oscillate wound wire or strip delivered on spools. Several designs are available to suit your payoff requirements. All models are adjustable for a variety of spool sizes and use an efficient DC Drive to vary the spool rim speed to match machine feeding requirements. The TSR-D has a lightweight dancer arm with wire guide to automatically adjust the spool rim speed depending upon the loop position. Controls include ON/OFF and FORWARD/REVERSE rotation selector switches along with an adjustable counterbalance for the loop-sensing arm. The TSR-LC uses a loop control to start and stop the drive motor. This system utilizes probe contact of conductive materials without scratching or marring the surface finish. The LC-2 uses a manually adjustable, speed control knob allowing the operator to set the speed for stock pay off. The optional LC-3 is a proportional sensor that automatically changes the rim speed. The low profile design makes them easy to load and move around by forklift. Rolls are adjusted by a thumb screw and locknut. A new cam release feature insures quick set-up and changeover from one coil to the next. Once set, no further roll adjustment is necessary for coil changes of the same wire size. As the wire is drawn through the P/A Wire Straightener, each plane of "V" groove rolls removes the natural curve of the coil, neutralizing the tendency to kink, twist, whip, or distort. The first plane of rolls must do more work, which allows a lesser number of rolls on the second plane. PNEUMATIC WIRE SHEAR PWC This Pneumatic Wire Shear is designed to shear wire. Fed by a Servo Wire Feed or Pneumatic Wire Feed it can be used in cutto-length applications. The powerful three-stage, double acting air cylinders have a pancake profile for high speed operation. Integral stroke dampeners are used to handle snap-through shock loads, extending cycle life. A four-way solenoid valve controls the sequencing. The compact, low profile construction allows for easy mounting and, if desired, portability. Each cutter is equipped with air silencers and safety guard. Two wire diameters are standard, and up to eight diameters are available as an option. The lower blade has precise holes to fully guide and contain the wire through the shearing process. The upper blade has a U-shaped profile to contain the wire for a clean cut. A hold down spring pressure pad is also profiled to support the wire prior to shearing. PNEUMATIC WIRE FEED AX2W P/A is the only Air Feed manufacturer that provides low maintenance, high-cycle life cup wiper seals on the main cylinder. This is the same technology that air cylinder manufacturers utilize. Cup seals reduce friction and heat which increases cycle life and performance by a conservative factor of 50 times. The installation of stainless steel telescoping tubes with specially sized guide bushings, enable the Air Feed to carry wire smoothly and accurately to the machine.
