7 Boiler Feed Application HPT HPT radially split barrel casing pumps are specifically designed for boiler feed applications in thermal power stations, mainly coal fired. The pumps are optimized to provide high efficiency operation over an extended period of time thus reducing operating and maintenance costs. Pressure 450 bar / 6525 psi Temperature 220 C / 430 F MSD MSD multistage pumps are mainly used as boiler feed pumps for combined cycle power generation applications. The broad range of standard hydraulics and mechanical design options ensures optimum fit to customers duty requirements, using proven pre-engineered solutions. Pressure 300 bar / 4350 psi Temperature 200 C / 400 F GSG GSG radially split, barrel casing pumps are used in boiler feed applications of steam and combined cycle power plants. Their design is optimized for synchronous speed direct drive applications thus avoiding unnecessary and expensive construction features. Their full cartridge design makes the most of the compact Sulzer Twistlock system of barrel closure. A backto-back option is also available. Pressure 300 bar / 4350 psi Temperature 425 C / 800 F CP CP radially split barrel pumps are used in combined cycle power plants. They are particularly suited to low specific gravity applications where the back-toback design and center bush provide natural axial balance and additional shaft support. 8 Boiler Feed Application MD MD pumps are horizontal, radially split ring section multistage pumps of modular design. MD pumps are suitable for pumping clean or slightly polluted, hot or cold, chemically neutral or aggressive liquids. These pumps are primarily designed for power applications, i.e. boiler feed and condensate services in power plants. Pressure 290 bar / 4200 psi Temperature 210 C / 410 F Booster Application HZB HZB pumps are designed as hot water boosters for high energy boiler feed pumps in thermal power plants. Their design is optimized for pumping hot water with relatively low NPSH available. The rugged design ensures the long term reliable operation. Pressure 48 bar / 700 psi Temperature 220 C / 430 F ME ME pumps are designed for boiler feed applications in both industrial and thermal power plants. Suitable for high speed operation, the modular construction allows the pump to be easily optimized for individual applications. Pressure 400 bar / 5800 psi Temperature 210 C / 410 F ZE ZE single stage, overhung pumps are designed as booster pumps for smaller industrial power plants and for auxiliary services. 9 Cooling Water Application SJM SJM mixed flow pumps are ruggedly designed for a long life time operation in a wide variety of applications. The basic components of head, column pipe and bowl assembly are combined and customized to match individual duty needs. In addition, the standard range of material options ensures the materials of construction can be matched to individual installation needs. Pressure 18 bar / 260 psi Temperature 50 C / 120 F Condensate Extraction SJP (CEP) The SJD (CEP) range of vertical pumps is ideal for applications where NPSHA is limited. The pumps are used in a wide range of applications ranging from simple industrial booster pumps to high pressure condensate return and heater drain pumps in power plants. Pressure 43 bar / 680 psi Temperature 100 C / 210 F SJT The SJT vertical turbine range offers incredible flexibility due to an extensive range of standard features. These include oil, grease, product or flushed bearing lubrication, sealing plans for all liquids, above or below ground discharge and a wide range of materials of construction. 10 Auxiliary Services ZPP ZPP double suction, axially split pumps are designed for cooling water services in power plants and other industries requiring low pulsation and high efficiencies. Pressure 10 bar / 150 psi Temperature 120 C / 250 F MBN The MBN ring section multistage pump is the optimum choice for medium pressure pumping applications. The pump is offered in a wide range of materials including chrome steel and duplex stainless steel grades. The pump utilizes integrated diffusers and a product lubricated NDE bearing to simplify construction, minimize dimensions and reduce cost.
