Now established as one of the most stable self propelled sprayers in the market the 4.0 E copes with the steepest of ground with ease. Its extended chassis (+700mm over the standard 4.0) lowers the maximum height of the tank by 155mm. This both reduces the centre of gravity and greatly enhances the control of wider booms - especially when restricted to a 72in/1.8m track width. With a wheelbase of 3.75m the on-road comfort and ride is exceptional whilst still retaining a tight turning circle of 8.5m. The largest, most technically advanced Vision boasts a class leading capacity of 5500 litres. When coupled with a wider boom this machine offers maximum spraying performance for those farming on a larger scale. Powered by a Deutz Tier 4 electronic engine which is linked to the latest Poclain Premier Drive System the 5.5 takes operating a hydrostatic machine to a higher level. Driving Dynadrive MW24 wheel motors with full dynamic disc brakes on all wheels the Premier Drive system automatically changes wheel motor displacements as speed increases. High Clearance Airstream Options On all SAM Vision sprayers we offer a host of optional extras to enhance the suitability of the machine for your individual requirements. The Vision High Clearance is available in both 3 and 4000 litre capacities. Based on the standard models but with the fitment of taller wheel motor carriers and larger wheels to give a true 1250mm clearance from front to back. All hydraulic hoses and fittings to the wheel motors are carefully routed to keep the underbelly smooth and tidy further reducing potential crop damage. An adjustable metric axle from 2-2.3m is fitted to allow the user to work in varying rowcrop widths and also to give the same narrow turning circle as the standard machine. Having gained ground clearance the maximum nozzle height has increased to 2.85m but by using an extended mast the minimum height remains at 0.65m. Removable lower mast sections again reduce crop damage when working in tall crops. The Sands Airstream sprayer provides the user with the choice of air assisted or conventional spraying. Fitted as an option on the 24m boom, the Airstream can produce exit air velocity from the fan of 40 metres per second or 144 kilometres per hour. This is fully controllable and infinitely adjustable. By using an angled air outlet the system produces crop tilt to ensure excellent penetration of the densest crop canopy. Power for the Airstream system is from the Deutz 207 or 241hp 6 cylinder engine, allowing 52hp to drive the fan without compromising the machine s overall performance. By using a closed loop hydraulic system there is zero hydraulic demand during conventional spraying.
