Wht this mnul contins This mnul describes the mechnicl instlltion of ACS880 multidrive cbinet-instlled drives. Checking the instlltion site Check the instlltion site ccording to the requirements given in chpter Technicl dt in ACS880-107 inverter units hrdwre mnul (3AUA0000102519 [English]): The instlltion site is sufficiently ventilted or cooled to trnsfer wy the drive losses. The mbient conditions of the drive meet the specifictions. The wll behind the unit is of non-flmmble mteril. There is enough free spce bove the drive to enble cooling ir flow, service nd mintennce. The floor tht the unit is instlled on is of non-flmmble mteril, s smooth s possible, nd strong enough to support the weight of the unit. Check the floor fltness with spirit level. The mximum llowed devition from the surfce level is 5 mm in every 3 meters. Level the instlltion site, if necessry, s the cbinet is not equipped with djustble feet. Note: For esy mintennce, do not instll the inverter on higher level thn the floor in front of it. If the inverter is plced higher, the rmp supplied with the inverter cnnot be used when replcing n inverter module. 5 Required tools The tools required for moving the unit to its finl position, fstening it to the floor nd wll nd tightening the connections re listed below: crne, fork-lift or pllet truck (check lod cpcity!), iron br, jck nd rollers Pozidrive nd Torx (2.5 6 mm) screwdrivers torque wrench set of wrenches or sockets.
Checking the delivery The drive delivery contins: drive cbinet line-up optionl modules (if ordered) instlled onto the control bords t the fctory rmp for replcement of lrge converter modules (if ny) pproprite drive nd optionl module mnuls delivery documents. Check tht there re no signs of dmge. Before ttempting instlltion nd opertion, check the informtion on the type designtion lbels of ech multidrive unit to verify tht the delivery is of the correct type. See sections Type designtion key in the hrdwre mnuls of the multidrive units. Moving the unit The drive cbinets re to be moved in the upright position. Trnsporttion of the cbinet on its bck is only llowed if the unit is equipped for such trnsporttion t the fctory. If the cbinet needs to be lid on its bck, support it from below beside the cubicle sems. 1) cbinet bck pnel; 2) support. Never ly or trnsport unit with sine filters (with option code +E206) on its bck. 2 1 2 2 1 2 The centre of grvity of the cbinet is high. Be therefore creful when moving the unit. Avoid tilting.
by crne 60 Fsten the lifting ropes or slings to the holes of the lifting brs ttched to the top of the cbinet. Mximum ngle of the lifting ropes: 60 IP54 units: The llowed minimum height of lifting ropes or slings which hve fn on the roof is 2 meters. by fork lift or pllet truck When using pllet truck, check its lod cpcity before ttempting to move the unit. Move the unit on its originl pllet, preferbly in the originl pckge, to void dmging the cbinet surfces nd door devices. on rollers Remove the wooden bottom frme which is prt of the shipment. Ly the cbinet on the rollers nd move it crefully until close to its finl loction. Remove the rollers by lifting the unit with crne, fork-lift, pllet truck or jck. Finl plcement Move the cbinet into its finl position with n iron br. Plce wooden piece t the bottom edge of the cbinet in order not to dmge the cbinet frme with the iron br.
Overview of the instlltion procedure 1. Fsten the cbinet or first shipping split to the floor nd wll or roof. 120 w The cbinet cn be instlled with its bck ginst wll (), or bck-to-bck with nother unit (b). See pge 9. Note: Leve some spce t the side where the cbinet outmost hinges re to llow the doors to open sufficiently (w). The doors must open 120 to llow supply nd inverter module replcement. Note: Any height djustment must be done before fstening the units or shipping splits together. Height djustment cn be done by using metl shims between the cbinet bottom nd floor. Leve 500 mm free spce bove the bsic roof level of the cbinet for cooling. b > 500 mm (19.7 ) 2. Remove the lifting brs. Remove the lifting brs once the cbinet is in its finl position. Refsten the bolts to retin the degree of protection of the cbinet. 3. If the line-up consists of shipping splits, position the second split t the end of the first nd fsten the splits together. See pge 10. 4. Fsten the second shipping split to the floor. 5. Connect the PE nd DC busbrs. See pges 10 nd 11. 6. Repet steps 2 to 5 for the remining shipping splits. 3 4 DC PE 5
Fstening the cbinet to the floor nd wll or roof The drive must be instlled in n upright verticl position. Fsten the cbinet to the floor by using clmps long the edge of the cbinet bottom, or by bolting the cbinet to the floor through the holes inside (if they re ccessible). Alterntive 1 Clmping 1 1. Insert the clmps into the twin slots long the front nd rer edges of the cbinet frme body nd fsten them to the floor with bolt. The recommended mximum distnce between the clmps in the front edge is 800 mm (31.5 ). 2. If floor mounting from bck is not possible, fsten the cbinet t the top to wll with L-brckets (not included in the delivery) using the lifting br fstening holes. M16 Clmp dimensions Alterntive 2 Using the holes inside the cbinet 1. Fsten the cbinet to the floor through the bottom fstening holes with M10 to M12 (3/8 to 1/2 ) bolts. The recommended mximum distnce between the front edge fstening points is 800 mm (31.5 ). 2. If the bck fstening holes re not ccessible, fsten the cbinet t the top to wll with L-brckets (not included in the delivery) using the lifting br fstening holes. M16
