V. COST SHARING Non-profit service The LB PLS development and operating costs must be recovered. Development: EUR 100 000 Annual running: EUR 10 000 Compensation Fees paid by participants that joined at later stages are used to pay back the early birds (deduction from annual fees) Example(with 20 participants of LB PLS): Average annual fee after compensations EUR 1 500 development coverage fee (in 5 years) EUR 1 000 annual operational fee EUR 500 Note: Development and running costs do not cover costs for further improvements of the LB PLS and its links with pan-european and regional proxy lookup services. All improvement and interconnection costs should be covered in equal parts by all LB PLS participants. 50 percent of the development costs to be covered by LB PLS participants in equal parts in 2018. The remaining 50 percent to be covered in the next 4 years (2019-2022). BANKAS 9
