1. Remove (6) hex head screws from bottom of fascia using a 10mm socket. Parts List ITEM QTY PART NUMBER 1 4 M10-1.5 x 35mm HEX TAP BOLT 2 8 M10 FLAT WASHER 3 4 M10-1.5 NYLOCK HEX NUT NYLOCK HEX NUT DESCRIPTION USE EXISTING VEHICLE NUTS TO ATTACH TO OUTER (4) BUMPER BEAM STUDS 3 2 1 REAR VEHICLE STRUCTURE 2. Remove (5) plastic push rivets from each rear wheel well. To remove pry the center pin outward, then pry out the rivet. NOTE: (1) rivet per side is under the wheel well liner. BUMPER BEAM DESIGNED FOR USE WITH BALLMOUNT #45521 EURO MOUNT OPTION AVAILABLE #45571 (1 7/8" BALL) #45572 (2" BALL)

3. Remove (1) hex head screw upper area of each wheel well using an 8mm socket. NOTE: They are located under wheel the well liners. 5. Remove (1) tie down per side using a T40 torx tool. 4. Open trunk and remove (1) plastic hook per side. Use a flathead screwdriver to remove center rectangular head pin and then remove hook. 6. Remove (1) panel per side which covers the taillight wiring and lower cargo nets.

9. Remove (3) hex nuts which secure the taillight using an 8mm socket. Remove (1) hex nut using a 10mm socket. Repeat removal of (4) nuts on other side. 7. Remove (2) plastic fasteners which hold trunk floor cover in position. Remove floor cover. 8. Pull away the trunk liner to gain access to the taillight mounting area. 10. Disconnect the wiring harness from each taillight.

11. Carefully pull taillight rearward and remove, repeat on other side. Use a trim panel tool to ease the process. 13. Remove (1) heat shield by removing (2) hex head screws using a 10mm socket. Repeat on other side. 12. Carefully remove bumper cover. Start by pulling the outer edges near wheel wells and proceed rearward until cover is removed. If present, unplug and remove wire harness from the inside of bumper cover. 14. Remove (2) screws from rear exhaust hanger using a 3/8" 12 point socket or E12 external torx socket and rotate hanger down. Repeat on other side.

15. Remove (2) outer bumper beam hex flange nuts using a 16mm socket. Repeat on other side. 17. Cut off the heads of (4) inner bumper beam studs and knock studs off using a hammer. Clean holes so supplied M10 bolts can be inserted and paint any bare metal. 16. Remove (4) inner bumper beam hex flange nuts using a 16mm socket. These are located inside the trunk under the floor liner. Remove bumper beam. 18. Apply silicon on outside of vehicle around (4) inner mounting holes. NOTE: This is important to prevent exhaust fumes from entering the vehicle. O O O O

19. Raise hitch and bumper beam into position and attach to outer (4) bumper beam studs using the existing M10 flange nuts. 21. Apply silicon around base of (4) bolts on inside of vehicle. Insert (4) M10 washers onto bolts and secure with (4) M10 nylock nuts using 17mm sockets. 20. Insert (4) supplied M10 hex bolts with (4) M10 washers through bumper beam, hitch and vehicle. 22. Torque (4) inner M10 nylock nuts to 45.2 ft-lbs. Torque outer (4) factory nuts on bumper beam studs to 31.6 ft-lbs.

23. Use tape measure, marker and cut wheel to remove a 1.63" wide x 1.25" deep rectangle from center bottom portion of fascia panel. 24. Reinstall exhaust hangers and heat shields. 25. Reinstall bumper cover (along with any electrical harness components removed from the inside of it), taillights, taillight wiring, and inner trunk components.

Use a trim panel tool to ease the process. 12. Carefully remove bumper cover. Start by pulling the outer edges near wheel wells and proceed rearward until cover is removed. If present, unplug and remove wire harness from the inside of bumper cover. 13. Remove (1) heat shield by removing (2) hex head screws using a 10mm socket. Repeat on other side. 14. Remove (2) screws from rear exhaust hanger using a 3/8" 12 point socket or E12 external torx socket and rotate hanger down. Repeat on other side. 15. Remove (2) outer bumper beam hex flange nuts using a 16mm socket. Repeat on other side. 16. Remove (4) inner bumper beam hex flange nuts using a 16mm socket. These are located inside the trunk under the floor liner. Remove bumper beam. 17. Cut off the heads of (4) inner bumper beam studs and knock studs off using a hammer. Clean holes so supplied M10 bolts can be inserted and paint any bare metal. 18. Apply silicon on outside of vehicle around (4) inner mounting holes. Insert (4) M10 washers onto bolts and secure with (4) M10 nylock nuts using 17mm sockets. 22. Torque (4) inner M10 nylock nuts to 45.2 ft-lbs. Torque outer (4) factory nuts on bumper beam studs to 31.6 ft-lbs. 23. Use tape measure, marker and cut wheel to remove a 1.63" wide x 1.38" deep rectangle from center bottom portion of fascia panel. 24. Reinstall exhaust hangers and heat shields. 25. Reinstall bumper cover (along with any electrical harness components removed from the inside of it), taillights, taillight wiring, and inner trunk components. PERIODICALLY CHECK THIS RECEIVER HITCH TO ENSURE THAT ALL FASTENERS ARE TIGHT AND THAT ALL STRUCTURAL COMPONENTS ARE SOUND.
