These points will be audited on a completed vehicle installation. TOOLS & EQUIPMENT: This calls out the specific tools and equipment required for this process. REVISION MARK: This mark highlights a change in installation with respect to previous issue. SAFETY TORQUE: This mark indicates that torque is related to safety. SPECIAL NOTE: Installation Sequences After TMS and Safety mandated preparatory steps have been taken, the installation sequence is the suggested method for completing the accessory installation. In some instances the suggested sequence is written for one associate to install and in others the sequence is given as part of a team accessory installation. Unless otherwise stated in the document, the associates may perform the installation in any order to make the installation efficient as possible while maintaining consistent quality. Page 1 of 13

A. Pre-Installation Precaution 1. Use Seat and Floor protectors to avoid damage to surfaces. 2. If the vehicle is equipped with an Anti-theft radio, the radio code must be written down prior to disconnecting the battery cable. The code must be re-entered when the negative battery cable is reinstalled. Disconnecting the battery may cause certain vehicle settings to be lost. Manufacturer s recommendations for the battery removal should be followed. Disconnecting the battery is recommended. B1 C1 B. Battery disconnect 1. Remove the NEGATIVE (-) battery terminal using a 10mm socket/ ratchet before starting any disassembly. ( B1) C2 C. Disassemble Vehicle Trim 1. Using a NRT (Nylon Removal Tool) remove passenger visor bracket cover. ( C1) 2. Remove (2) screws using a #2 Phillips screwdriver from passenger visor assembly and C3 remove from vehicle. ( C2) 3. Using a NRT, remove both passenger side assist grip plugs. ( C3) 4. Remove (2) bolts using a 10mm socket/ ratchet from passenger assist grip. ( C4) C4 Page 2 of 13

5. By hand pull assist grip handle and front pillar garnish away from vehicle body to remove. ( C5) 6. Remove passenger instrument panel under cover sub-assembly by pulling panel toward floor, releasing clips. ( C6) 7. By hand pull up on the passenger door scuff plate to remove. ( C7) 8. Remove plastic bolt from passenger cowl side trim board. ( C8) 9. By hand pull cowl side trim board toward rear of vehicle to remove. ( C9) C5 C6 C7 C8 C9 Page 3 of 13

10. Open instrument cluster finish panel lid. 11. Remove left and right instrument cluster finish panels by carefully prying toward rear of vehicle C11 with a NRT. ( C11) 12. Using a NRT, pry the heater control assembly toward rear of vehicle to disengage clips. ( C12) 13. Disconnect electrical connectors. 14. Using a 10mm socket/ ratchet remove (4) bolts C13 from the radio. ( C14) 15. Pull radio from dash and disconnect electrical connectors. C14 D. Headliner preparation 1. Prepare cutout template with scissors or utility knife. 2. Align cutout template around overhead dome lamp and tape in place. ( D2) D2 3. Mark cutout area with a pencil. 4. Remove dome lamp lens by prying front side of cover with a NRT. ( D4) D4 Page 4 of 13

5. Dismantle dome lamp assembly and discard. ( D5) 6. Reach into headliner to pull dome lamp harness free from headliner to ensure damage does not occur to wiring during cut. ( D6) 7. Using a sharp utility knife, cut marked area starting at the corners working inward. Use caution for dome lamp wires along driver side of D5 D6 cutout. ( D7) E1 E. Route wiring 1. Use a 10mm socket/ ratchet to remove bolt from passenger kick panel area behind dash. Attach ring terminal from black wire of 12 harness and reinstall bolt. ( E1) 2. Feed wire puller from opening in passenger side dash near A-pillar down to kick panel area. E2 ( E2) 3. Attach 12 harness to wire puller (side with white 4 pin connector). Tape connectors to prevent possible cable damage during routing. ( E3) E3 Page 5 of 13

4. Pull cable through to A-pillar, make sure fuse end of cable stays in kick panel. 5. With harness still connected feed wire puller above headliner from A-pillar opening to monitor cutout. Make sure to stay clear of all airbag components. ( E5) 6. Pull cable slack to monitor cutout leaving approximately 10 in front left corner of opening. ( E6) 7. Disconnect wire puller. 8. Use (2) 6 wire ties to secure 12 harness to the factory wiring in the passenger A-pillar. Cut excess wire tie length with wire cutters. Do not tie E5 E6 E8 to airbag components. ( E8) 9. Feed wire puller from passenger floorboard area into dash and exit in radio cavity. ( E9) 10. Attach 12 harness to wire puller and pull E9 through to radio cavity. ( E10) E10 Page 6 of 13

11. Secure 12 harness to under dash area with (2) 6 wire ties to the factory wiring. ( E11) E11 F. Connect wiring at radio 1A (Built in Amplifier). Attach a red T-tap with pliers to the gray wire of the 10 pin radio connector G6 PIN 3. F1 Connector G6 1B (Separate type Amplifier). Attach a red T-tap with pliers to the gray wire of the 20 pin radio F2 connector G21 PIN 11. ( F1) G1 Connector G21 2. Connect the red wire of the 12 harness to the T- tap on the gray wire. ( F2) G. Install FM modulator 1. Wrap fm modulator in foam tape. ( G1) 2. Using (1) 11 wire tie, secure fm modulator to the factory harness at rear of radio cavity. G2 ( G2) Page 7 of 13

3. Connect flat connector from fm modulator to 12 harness. ( G3) 4. Connect the female antenna connector of the fm modulator to the factory male antenna connector. ( G4) 5. Secure excess antenna cable and 12 harness along with the fuse holder with (1) 6 wire tie. G3 G4 ( G5) H. Dome lamp harness 1. Apply one female spade to each of the (3) dome lamp wires with a crimpers. ( H1) 2. Use hole in wire web to position wires correctly; with hole in the webbing on the bottom attach dome lamp as follows. I. Install bracket 1. Place T-studs through front side factory bracket holes from above. ( I1) 2. With forward indicating triangle align tabs in bracket to previously installed T-stud. Secure bracket with (2) bolts and washers using a 7/16 I1 I2a socket/ ratchet. ( I2a-b) 3. Using a drill with an 11/64 bit, drill bit stop (3/16 ) and catch cup drill factory cross member through front bracket holes. ( I2) 4. Secure two front holes of bracket to cross member with (2) screws using an 8mm socket/ I2b ratchet. ( I5) I3 I6 Page 9 of 13

J. Install monitor 1. Trim hole in trim ring fabric 1 inside inner opening in trim ring with a utility knife. J1 ( J1) 2. Attach trim ring to monitor with (8) ¼ screws using a #1 Phillips screwdriver. ( J2) 3. Open monitor screen. 4. Connect cables from monitor opening to backside of overhead unit. ( J4) 5. Install monitor with (4) barrel nuts using a 4mm hex (Allen) wrench. ( J5) J2 J4 K. Complete Installation 1. Make sure vehicles battery is connected and torque to 36 in/ lbs. 2. Install (2) AAA batteries in each remote and headphone set. 3. Check all previously disconnected factory connectors and accessories to ensure they are all connected and operational. 4. After testing with steps on following pages, carefully re-assemble vehicle by reversing steps in section C. 5. Store remotes, owner s manual in glove box. Store remotes and headphones in rear cargo area. Page 10 of 13 J5

Functional Verification: Check Look For: Accessory Function checks: Turn vehicle ignition to ON, depress power button on remote control for monitor. Monitor should power on, start up screen should appear on screen. Insert DVD into monitor, press enter. DVD should begin playing. Depress sound around on remote control. Tune vehicle FM radio station to channel displayed on screen. Sound around ON and FM channel displayed on screen. Depress sound around on remote control. Tune vehicle FM radio station to channel displayed on screen. Sound around OFF and FM channel displayed on screen. Vehicle radio should operate normal Turn power ON wireless headphones (turn Volume dial up slightly on headphones). Slide dome lamp switch on monitor to ON. Program on G10 monitor should be audible through wireless headphones. Both lights on monitor should turn on. Page 12 of 13

Troubleshooting: Condition: Unit does not power "ON" Sound is not heard through vehicle radio Sound is not heard through wireless headphones Check For: 1. Is ignition turned "ON? 2. Are batteries installed in remote control? 3. Are power connections and ground secured? 4. Check power on the vehicle side of power connection. 5. Check power on the accessory side of power connection. 6. Is vehicle fuse blown? If yes, check to see that there is not a short circuit. 7. Check overhead video unit for continuity to ground on black wire and power at red wire on 4 pin connector (Fig. 1). Use eyelet as ground connection for all voltage checks. If continuity and power exist, the problem lies in the overhead unit. 1. Is sound around turned on? 2. Does vehicle radio station match radio station displayed when sound around is turned ON? 3. Check that FM Modulator is receiving power. Test G10 main harness for continuity at 8 pin connector on each side. All pins should be continuous (Fig. 1). Test for power at PIN #8, ground at PIN #1, and audio voltage of.02 V at PIN #3 and PIN #4. If voltages are not present, the problem lies in the overhead unit. 1. Are batteries installed? 2. Is power "ON" (headphones)? 3. Is volume turned "UP" (on headphones)? 4. Is anything blocking signal between monitor and headphones? Vehicle has poor sound Interference caused by local radio station IR Sensor inoperative No picture Unit powers up but no audio and/or video 1. Turn off sound around on monitor 1. Use FM Model Select to choose a different channel. 1. Verify that the batteries in the remote are fresh. 2. Verify that the remote sensor eye is not obstructed. 3. Verify that the infrared transmitter is affixed over the sensor eye of the component to be controlled. 1. Verify the correct video input mode is used. 2.
