The effeff range includes models for all standard doors. Thanks to their low-noise operation and distinct advantages for a retro-fit, electric holding are eminently suitable as an extra locking mechanism on doors. The effeff range also includes electric holding suitable for use along escape routes and approved in accordance with the German 'Guideline for electric locking systems for doors along escape routes' (EltVTR). 27 Electric holding Electric holding along escape routes Employees, hotel guests or visitors to public buildings need to be sure that they would be able to escape in the case of an emergency. In order to protect against misuse, the construction product 'Electric Locking Systems for Doors along Escape Routes' has been defined in the Building Regulation List published by the German Institute for Structural Engineering. Such systems always ensure safe evacuation in the case of an emergency while also preventing misuse of emergency exits at other times. All effeff escape door systems comply with the German Guidelines for Electronic Locking Systems in Doors along Escape Routes' (EltVTR), which are specified in Building Regulation List A, Part 1, serial number 6.19, as the applicable technical regulations for this product, and consequently bear the corresponding mark of conformity (Ü mark). Compact Holding Magnet The systems and their components Since it is possible to integrate the control electronics in the terminal, just two components, the locking component and a control terminal, are required to ensure regulation-compliant securing of doors along escape routes with an effeff escape door system. Central systems, such as building automation technology and hazard alert systems, can be connected to the control electronics. The central control panel to monitor and control the system functions using bus technology. Fail-unlocked operating principle Escape route locking systems are based on the failunlocked operating principle. The door is instantly enabled when activated or in the event of emergency release or a power failure. EltVTR-compliant effeff flat holding are used when doors in fire protection barriers are retrofitted with escape door systems or when there is a need to make no considerable structural modifications to the door leaf and frame when retrofitting an escape door system. Moreover, the almost silent operation of flat holding is advantageous in the case of heavily used doors. Flat holding feature an integrated hall sensor which generates the required feedback signal to the control unit, thus also providing protection against sabotage and tampering.

Holding and counterplates Holding and counterplates are made of special soft magnetic iron. This guarantees the best possible holding force while featuring low power consumption and low remanent magnetism. For this reason, you need to order holding and their counterplates together at the same time. The surfaces on holding and their counterplates are nickel-plated. Holding can also be combined with an installation box and spacers. Easy installation Counter holding plates are basically bigger in diameter than their corresponding holding magnet. This makes them easier to fit into position opposite holding, as any tolerance variations are compensated thanks to the larger size of counterplates.
