DHS VALVE STEM SEALING HANDLING SYSTEM en
dhs VALVE STEM SEALING HANDLING SYSTEM The valve stem handling system is used for fully automatic sealing of the valve hole prior to helium leak test. In the high quality production of alloy wheels, leak testing with helium gas is state of the art technology. As part of the preparation for the helium test, the already drilled valve stem hole needs to be sealed. To ensure a reliable sealing it is very important that the valve stem plug is pressed with constant pressure into the valve hole. Besides the cost savings through automation with the DHS system, the above mentioned consistent quality of sealing is one of the key advantages. The MAKRA DHS fully automatic valve stem hole sealing system improves overall reliability of helium leak testing through automation and replacement of a manual process. The wheels are loaded into the machine in random order and random size. The machine is equipped with a 3D camera system which will find and precisely measure the valve hole coordinates. With the camera system no teaching process is necessary. Every wheel size and height can be run in random order without any training or adjustment to the DHS machine. The valve stem plugs are stored and refilled in a pot size of approx. 4000 plugs which will usually be enough for at least 10 hours of operation. The machine separates the plugs, grips them with a special gripper and seals the valve hole reliably and safely. The plugs that are used have been optimized for helium gas and these plugs are already being widely used in combination with VDH-leakage-test machines. Your Advantages Short cycle time Fully automatic valve stem hole sealing of up to 420 wheels / hour with only one machine Mixed wheel production The machine can work with chaotic wheel production, every wheel size, height and color can be used at the same time without any adjustment INCREASED RELIABILITY OF HELIUM LEAK TEST PROCESS The consistent sealing plug pressure reduces the failure rate in the leak test process Easy operation The valve hole will automatically be measured, no teaching or training necessary COST REDUCTION / AUTOMATION The DHS machine brings cost saving through automation and elimination of a manual process 2 MAKRA
