Electric Brake Specifications Specifications: Input Voltage: 100-240 VAC Power Consumption: Ceiling and Adapter Bearing: 200 W Console Bearing: 80 W Switch Operation: Momentary Braking System: Brake switches are provided on the ergonomic control handle on the console along with simplified operation diagram Brake Type: Spring actuated friction brake Torque: 520 lbs-in Electric Solenoid Power Supply Box High Tension Springs The electric solenoid generates the necessary force to release tensions in the spring allowing the bearing to be locked or unlocked. The power supply generates 24 VDC from 100 240 VAC for each solenoid. There are three (3) connections (1 per solenoid) and two (2) connections (1 per each electric brake handle). The springs generate friction by pulling the brake shoes towards the center drum, preventing the bearing from rotating freely. Pneumatic Brake Specifications Specifications: Inlet Pressure: 85 90 PSI Flow Rate: 20 L/min (minimum) Consumption: 0.7 L/day (based on 4 positional movements per day) Switch Operation: Toggle/push button with indicator Braking System: Bladders are inflated by either nitrogen or medical air to provide the braking force Brake Type: Air pressure powered friction brake Torque: 520 Lbs-in (minimum) Toggle Switches Brake Bladder System Brake Pad Shoe The toggle switches control movement of the arms by either restraining or discharging Nitrogen/Instrument Air from the brake bladders. The brake bladders are inflated by using nitrogen or instrument air at 90 psi to provide the necessary braking force. The bladder pushes the brake plate against the brakes with friction pads. This prohibits any drifting or unwanted movement of the brakes.
