Foreword All technical content of this part of GB 4793 is mandatory. GB 4793 is currently divided into 7 parts: - Part 1: Safety requirements for electrical equipment for measurement, control, and laboratory use. Part 1:General requirements (IEC 61010-1); - Part 2: Safety requirements for electrical equipment for measurement, control, and laboratory use. Part 2:Particular requirements for hand-held and hand-manipulated current sensors for electrical test and measurement (IEC 61010-2-030); - Part 3: Safety requirements for electrical equipment for measurement, control, and laboratory use. Part3:Particular requirements for laboratory equipment for mixing and stirring (IEC 61010-2-051); - Part 4: Safety requirements for electrical equipment for measurement, control and laboratory use Part 4: Particular requirements for autoclaves using steam for the treatment of medical materials and for laboratory process (IEC 61010-2-040); - Part 5: Safety requirements for electrical equipment for measurement, control, and laboratory use. requirements (English). The technical content and structure are exactly the same as IEC 61010. And it incorporates the contents of technical corrigendum 1 and 2 (on the right side with a double vertical bars). This part is the revision of GB 4793.1-1995 Safety requirements for electrical equipment for measurement, control, and laboratory use - Part 1: General requirements (idt IEC 61010-1:1990). Compared between version-2007 and version-1995 of this Part, there are major changes: The text of many provisions in the standard has been modified; the standard structure has been further adjusted; for some test methods, there is more detail description. For example, on the basis of normal environmental conditions, it adds the extended environmental conditions; in anti-shock section, it redefines safe voltage limit, and it amends damp places limits; in fire protection requirements, it newly introduces concept of energy-limited circuits, and it gives the judgment data; corresponding to the anti-liquid danger, this Part newly adds liquid pressure test procedure. For ease of use, this Part makes the following editorial changes: [Note by Translator: The following text in red indicates the key differences between GB 4793.1-1-2007 and IEC 61010-1:2001] a) USE decimal point "." to replace the comma as a decimal point ",". b) DELETE the content of Preface and "Annex H (informative) definition index" of IEC 61010-1:2001. c) For those international standards cited by IEC 61010-1:2001, if there are equivalently-adopted or modified national standards, this Part uses the national standards or industry standards to replace the corresponding international standards. If there is no corresponding equivalently-adopted or modified national standards, they are directly cited in this Part (see Chapter 2 of this Part). d) The errors in original edition are corrected. From the date of implementation, this Part shall replace GB 4793.1-1995. GB 4793.1-1995 shall be abolished on the same day. Appendix A, Appendix B, Appendix C, Appendix D, Appendix E, and Appendix F of this Part are normative. Appendix G is informative. This Part was proposed by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China. For specific type of equipment, these general applicable safety requirements shall use 1 or more special requirements from other parts of GB 4793 to supplement or modify.
