ABTO President s Message September, 2016 Well, it appears the summer break started a little early due to lack of response from members for the June meeting. However Dave Kitchin and I represented the club working in Silverton, Colorado. We spent a week working in Silverton for the Durango and Silverton Historical Society. We spread two and a half yards of gravel. We leveled it and covered it with a plastic liner. We then cut plywood to make cement forms for the oil bunker foundation. It is just waiting for cement, to be continued at a later date. Next we repositioned Reefer 54 to its final position, awaiting trucks and refurnishing. It was a busy week with lots of labor, but, a good time was had by all. In July we had the layout upstairs at the Mesa Main Library. We were a little short of volunteers but we made it work. Thanks to all who helped make it a successful show. August was uneventful. Looking forward to our September meeting. Chief Engineer Ken Hawkins See page 7 with more information from Durango, CO.
