In some instances the suggested sequence is written for one associate to install and in others the sequence is given as part of a team accessory installation. Unless otherwise stated in the document, the associates may perform the installation steps in any order to make the installation as efficient as possible while maintaining consistent quality. INSTALLATION PREPARATION PREPARATION Before starting installation: 1. Familiarize yourself with the installation instructions. 2. Inspect kit components. NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE VEHICLE PREPARATION Verify that the vehicle shorting pin is installed prior to installation. 1. Place protective coverings on vehicle. 2. Disconnect negative battery clamp. 3. Remove the driver s side scuff plate by inserting a plastic panel tool under the scuff plate and prying upward to disengage the snap clips. Optional Step: Insert a plastic tool under the front of the scuff plate and driver s side kick panel. Lift only that area. 4. Remove the driver s side kick panel by inserting a plastic panel tool under the kick panel and carefully prying to disengage the snap clips. Page 2 of 12

5. Remove the plastic storage compartment at left the end of dash to gain access to the driver s side J/B. PREPARATION 6. Carefully unsnap the lower dash finish panel to hang down as shown. Remove the (2) Philips screws securing the panel and set the panel aside where it will not be damaged. 7. Remove the steering wheel shroud: a. Turn the steering wheel to gain access to the Philips screws securing the lower steering column cover, located on the face of the column cover. b. Remove the (3) Philips screws from the steering column cover. One screw is located at the bottom of the column. c. Carefully dislodge the steering column cover and set it aside where it will not be damaged. Page 3 of 12

MODULE PREPARATION PREPARATION 1. Secure the antenna to the back side of the module using the supplied foam pad. 2. Route the antenna and secure it to the main harness with tape or cable ties. IMPORTANT: Failure to route the antenna cable as described will result in reduced range of the system. FOAM PAD TAPE OR CABLE TIES SECURING THE GROUND CONNECTION Connect the ring terminal to the 10mm bolt under the steering column. INSTALLATION PROCEDURES Page 4 of 12

INSTALLATION PROCEDURES MOUNTING THE MAIN CONTROL MODULE KEYLESS MODULE Secure the main module to the vehicle harness connected to the JB in the driver s side kick panel area. Secure in place with the long cable ties provided. Guide the long cable tie through the module eyelets, as shown. DO NOT WRAP OR BUNDLE THE ANTENNA HARNESS. Module antenna wire must extend as high up as possible and be secured in place for the best signal. MOUNTING THE TOGGLE SWITCH LONG CABLE TIE 1. Install the ON/OFF bezel and nut. Tighten the nut with care; do not over torque the nut. 2. Tie wrap to main harness. NOTE: Toggle switch must be in the OFF position. Carefully follow the wiring diagram and factory details on pages 6-7. T-TAP INSTALLATION When installing female T-Tap connectors, be sure the wire is located inside the wire channel of the female T-Tap connector before closing the connector over the wire with pliers. WIRING DIAGRAM PINK [Door Lock Switch]: Use a black T-Tap and connect to the BROWN wire in connector GD1, PINK/WHITE [ Door Unlock Switch]: Use a black T-Tap and connect to the TAN or ORANGE wire in connector DG1, location 6. PINK/WHITE [Door Unlock Detect Switch]: Use a black T-Tap and connect to the BLUE wire in connector GD1, location 9. 2 Pin Molex Connector - Plug into Toggle Control. WHITE [Driver Door Unlock Motor - Towards Door Lock] (See Detail A) BLUE/WHITE [Driver Door Unlock Motor - Towards Body ECU] (See Detail A) CHASSIS GROUND - Connect the ring terminal to the 10mm bolt under the steering column (factory ground). GREEN/RED WIRE [Horn]: Use black T-Tap and connect to the BLACK wire in connector D3, location 8. WHITE WIRE [Tail Lights]: Use black T-Tap and connect to the WHITE wire in connector D4, location 13. BLUE WIRE [Headlights]: Refer to page 7-8 for installation instructions. CAUTION: Failure to use the headlight relay as instructed will cause damage to the keyless entry module. RED [+12VDC Battery]: Use a black T-Tap and connect to the YELLOW wire in connector D8, location 4. YELLOW [ +12VDC Accessory]: Use a black T-Tap and connect to the GREEN wire in connector D8, location 1. DETAIL A DRIVER S DOOR UNLOCK CIRCUIT Cut the PINK wire in connector GD1, location 20. Strip the insulation from both sides of the cut wire, and crimp the PINK/WHITE wire from the keyless harness to the HARNESS side of the cut wire. HEADLIGHT RELAY MOUNTING MOUNTING THE HEADLIGHT RELAY Secure the headlight relay to the vehicle s ignition harness located in the steering column. Secure in place with the cable ties provided. Guide the long cable tie through the headlight relay eyelet, as shown. Carefully follow the wiring diagram and factory details on pages 7-8. Page 9 of 12

COMPLETING THE INSTALLATION NOTE: Re-torque the battery cable to 36in-lb once the process is completed. NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE Verify that the vehicle shorting pin is installed prior to testing. TESTING THE SYSTEM Prior to delivering the vehicle, test all features of the system according to the included owner s manual. LOCK - Press and release the LOCK button on the transmitter. All doors should lock and the headlights should come on. UNLOCK - Press and release the UNLOCK button on the transmitter. The driver s door should unlock and the headlights should come on. Press and release the UNLOCK button again. All doors should unlock. Press and hold the PANIC button. The horn should sound and the parking lights should flash. Press and release the PANIC button to silence the horn. ASSEMBLING ALL REMOVED PANELS TO THE VEHICLE Refer again to the vehicle repair manual and reassemble all panels removed during installation back onto the vehicle. Thoroughly test all mechanical components disconnected or removed from the vehicle during the installation of this accessory. PREPARING THE VEHICLE FOR DELIVERY To set the arm/disarm chirps to soft chirps: 1. Start with the doors in the unlocked position and the Toggle Control Switch in the OFF position. 2. Turn the ignition key to the ON position. 3. Turn the ignition key OFF, and then immediately switch the Toggle Control Switch ON and then OFF 4 times. 4. The vehicle horn should respond with soft horn chirps. NOTE: Be sure to test both transmitters that were included in the kit. Page 10 of 12

COMPLETING THE INSTALLATION PROGRAMMING NEW OR REPLACEMENT TRANSMITTERS TO THE SECURITY MODULE IMPORTANT NOTE: Once you enter the programming mode, if 15 seconds elapses with no activity on the system, the programming mode will be terminated. If this happens, simply start over. STEP 1: To get started, enter the vehicle and close all doors. Lock the doors by using the door lock switch mounted on the driver s door panel. STEP 2: Turn the vehicle s ignition key ON and then OFF 7 times... STEP 3: Press and hold the Lock button on the transmitter until the driver s side door unlocks. STEP 4: Lock all doors by using the door lock switch mounted on the driver s side door panel. STEP 5: Repeat STEP 3 and STEP 4 for all transmitters that you need to program to operate the vehicle (maximum of 4 transmitters per vehicle). STEP 6: When all transmitters have been programmed, turn the ignition key ON and then OFF to exit the program mode....ending in the OFF position. Page 11 of 12

Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Prior to TPMS activation and Pre-Delivery Service (PDS) of the vehicle the TPMS light will blink when IG is turned on. After TPMS activation and PDS of the vehicle the TPMS light will illuminate for a few seconds and go off when IG is turned on.
