2.0 Safety Policy At John Heggart Transport Pty Ltd our Occupational Health, Safety and Rehabilitation Policy is based on a belief that the well-being of people employed at work, or people affected by our work, is a major priority and must be considered during all work performed on our behalf. People are our most important asset and their health and safety is our greatest responsibility. The public shall be given equal priority to that of our employees and sub contractors. The objectives of our Safety Policy are: To achieve an accident free workplace To make health & safety an Integral part of every managerial and supervisory position. To ensure health & safety is considered in all planning works and activities. To involve our employees in the decision making process through regular communication and consultation. To identify and control all potential hazards in the workplace through hazard identification and risk assessments. To ensure all potential accidents, incidents & near misses are reported to management. The success of our health & safety management is dependant on: 1. Pro-active planning of all work activities with due consideration given to implementing OH&S controls that are suited to each given situation. 2. Understanding the total work process and associated OH&S risks 3. Ensuring the work team is totally committed to achieving our goals and objectives. 4. Ensuring that open and honest communication exists between management and all employees and sub contractors. 4

3.0 Fatigue Policy John Heggart Transport recognises its duty of care to Employees, Sub Contractors, Hauliers, our Customers and to the public by ensuring they are not exposed to Fatigue related risk. Employees, Sub Contractors, Hauliers also have a duty of care to ensure they receive sufficient rest and are not exposing the company to any Fatigue related risk. John Heggart Transport will fulfill this commitment by; Communicating this policy and promoting awareness of fatigue risk management to employees, sub contractors, Hauliers and also to our customers. Introducing appropriate fatigue management procedures and plans to assess and manage work related fatigue risks. Supporting procedures and practices that meet the legislated limits of work & rest. Encouraging customers to consider fatigue related risks. Empowering and encouraging employees, sub contractors and hauliers to self identify fatigue hazards and reduce risks. Providing sufficient resources and training to implement, monitor and audit fatigue hazards and reduce risks. Ensuring that other business s which interfaces with John Heggart Transport have and apply appropriate fatigue management procedures. 5

4.0 Environmental Policy At John Heggart Transport Pty Ltd we are committed to the principle of sustainable development and are working to ensure that through our activities we enhance the environment in the communities which we operate. Within our operations, we will:- Work with suppliers, customers and government to reduce environmental hazards. Require each employee, Hauliers and Subcontractors to comply with all relevant environmental laws, regulations and standards along with our voluntary commitments to the community. Identify and manage the environmental risks within our operations, use natural resources responsibly and minimize our environmental impact. Continually improve our performance through training and management review. 5.0 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Employee; Where other means of protection are not practicable John Heggart Transport Pty Ltd will supply clothing or equipment designed to protect parts, or all, of the body. This equipment may include: gloves, boots, hearing protection, high visibility garments, breathing apparatus, thermal wear, eye protection, sun screen, safety belts and harnesses. Hauliers / Subcontractors; John Heggart Transport Pty Ltd require Hauliers and subcontractors to supply their own clothing or equipment designed to protect parts, or all, of the body. This equipment may include: gloves, boots, hearing protection, high visibility garments, breathing apparatus, thermal wear, eye protection, sun screen, safety belts and harnesses. 6

6.0 JHT Pre Employment Requirements Hauliers / Subcontractors /Operators ; Prior to employment all Hauliers, Sub Contractors and Operators will be required to provide JHT with a copy of their Vic Roads License record, A medical certificate from their local doctor stating they are fit for duties operating a Heavy Vehicle. Hauliers / Subcontractors; Prior to employment all Hauliers & Sub Contractors will need to supply JHT with a copy of current insurances. Toll Inductions; All Hauliers, Sub Contractors and Operators will be required to complete an online Driver Safety training programme via the internet which covers the correct procedure for loading Amcor products ( www.amcor-driver-safety.com/ ), This package also covers Pre trip inspections, loading, restraints, Unloading and general Safety requirements. All Hauliers, Sub Contractors and Operators will also be required to be tested in the safe use of loading with skates (joloaders). Tolls also require onsite inductions for all of their sites and Operators will be issued with a personnel swipe card to access the site. 6.1 Workers Compensation & Rehabilitation John Heggart Transport Pty Ltd will NOT provide Workers Compensation Insurance for Hauliers or Sub Contractors. A copy of the Sub Contractors WorkCover Insurance Policy will be provided by the Sub Contractor and attached to their Service Agreement. 7

7.0 Hazard Reporting John Heggart Transport Pty Ltd encourages all Hauliers, Sub Contractors and Operators to report hazards immediately. All reported hazards and documented corrective actions will be investigated. Corrective Actions will be signed off when completed. The procedure and responsibilities for reporting hazards, incidents or near misses is outlined on form JHT_010. 8.0 General Road Safety Requirements. The Conditions set out below apply to all Hauliers, Sub Contractors and Operators that transport freight for John Heggart Transport Pty Ltd. (JHT) Hauliers, Subcontractors and Operators must be aware that JHT is a Drug Free work environment and that the use of illicit drugs, abuse of prescription drugs or Subcontractors affected by alcohol will not be tolerated. To take proper care of the goods and ensure that all loads are properly secured, safeguarded against theft and protected from damage by weather or otherwise. The Road Transport Operator will comply with all relevant legislative requirements, regulations and by-laws of the States or Territories of Australia in which he operates. This shall include logbook requirements, road traffic laws, and any other laws that are or shall become applicable. To deliver the goods to their destination within a reasonable time and in the event of any delay in delivery will forthwith inform JHT by telephone stating the cause of the delay, the exact location of the delayed vehicle and the estimate of the time of arrival at the destination. To immediately inform JHT by telephone of the occurrence of any loss of or damage to the goods. That upon delivery of the goods the Road Transport Operator will ensure that they shall be forthwith checked by or on behalf of both the Subcontractor and a signature obtained as evidence and that any discrepancies in number of quantities or any damage shall then be noted and full information of the same forthwith given to JHT. The subcontractor will adhere to all reasonable requests from JHT s customers and comply with their OH&S requirements including using designated areas and walkways. The Road Transport Operator agrees to be contactable by mobile telephone at all times unless otherwise advised. 8
