DEALER STANDARDS - SALES Whole Goods - Stock Commitment The appointed Victory dealer agrees to maintain the minimum stocking requirements of SEVEN Victory motorcycles for showroom display, plus a further three bikes (minimum) which will be registered and used as DEMONSTRATION BIKES throughout the season by the dealer. GE Financing All Victory whole goods and Parts, Garments & Accessories (PG&A) are financed through GE Finance with 90 days free flooring on all new Victory models on a Pay as Sold basis. It is a requirement that a 100,000 (minimum) capital line facility be put in place and maintained with GE Finance for the sole use of Victory motorcycles. It is also a requirement that a 8,000 facility is set up for Victory PG&A. Showroom Display Area The dealer agrees to set aside and maintain a dedicated Victory Experience area to display a minimum of SEVEN new Victory models and associated PG&A within the main showroom area. The dealer also agrees to display exterior signage on the front outside wall of the showroom recognising them as the appointed Victory dealer. Victory Best Practices It has been proven without exception that dealers who employ the Victory Ten Best Practices grow to become successful Victory dealers and is a fundamental tool towards establishing and building the Victory brand. The dealer agrees to promote these best practices as part of their dealer appointment (see page 6). 02
DEALER STANDARDS - PAYMENT & DELIVERY Whole Goods Payment Terms All Victory invoicing is financed through GE Finance with 90 Days free floor stocking program on a Pay as Sold basis.* Showroom models Demonstration models 90 days free flooring on GE facility 180 days free flooring on GE facility * GE must be informed immediately when a bike has been retailed and paid down accordingly. Delivery Charges All Victory motorcycles are delivered by our third party logistics company and are subject to an 85 (per bike) delivery charge. This charge is included in the on the road (OTR) package and retail price of each bike. Warranty Registration All new Victory motorcycles are to be warranty registered on line (idex) within 7 days of the point of sale. This on line registration activates: Two Year Manufacturers Warranty Payment of One Year Road-Side-Assistance cover (dealer activates) First Service dealer payment allowance VRA membership invitation for the rider Vehicle Handover At the point of sale and handover of each new and used Victory motorcycle, the dealer must ensure that the following procedures are in place. Full PDI and vehicle check list is carried out Owners Manual and hand over pack given to owner Vehicle handover procedure - Victory Experience Warranty registration on line (idex) Road Side Assistance registration 03
DEALER STANDARDS PARTS, GARMENTS & ACCESSORIES Dealer Start Up Ordering Procedure The dealership agrees to order and maintain a minimum stock level of clothing and accessories to support the Victory showroom display area and to encourage the live the lifestyle brand image. This display must be maintained to a high standard and be kept clean and fresh looking with regular stock rotation. All PG&A orders are to be submitted on line using the Dealer Extranet (i-dex). Demo Bike Accessories Accessorised bikes help sell bikes (and accessories). To encourage dealers to fully accessorise their Victory demonstration bikes, additional terms will be offered for all accessories ordered at the time of ordering the demonstration bike that are for use on the bike. Parts ordered before 2:00pm will be shipped the same day (subject to availability). Payment Terms All parts are invoiced on a separate GE credit line facility and are due for payment on the 20th of the month following invoicing by Direct Debit collection. NOTE: Changes may be made to our PG&A ordering policy throughout the year. Any updates will be communicated to you at the appropriate time. PG&A Catalogue The Victory Parts, Garments & Accessories (PG&A) catalogue is available in both hard (catalogue) copy and CD disc format. A rider copy of these are included in the handover pack issued at the point of sale of all new Victory motorcycles. DEALER STANDARDS - SERVICE & WARRANTY Two Year Warranty All new Victory motorcycles are supported with a Two Year Manufacturers Warranty. The dealer must ensure that each bike is registered on the Dealer Extranet i-dex system within 7 days from purchase to activate this warranty process. Technical Training The dealership agrees to attend at least one technical service training course per year to be kept up-to-date with model updates and product developments. Failure to attend these courses may result in a reduction in warranty labour rate and possible dealership termination. Service Tools & Diagnostic Equipment The dealer agrees to purchase and maintain the required Victory service tools and diagnostics equipment (Digital Wrench). Dealer start up costs should not exceed 2,000. MARKETING PROGRAM M E National Advertising Victory will continue to present the Victory motorcycles brand in the mainstream national trade publications with full, half and quarter page colour advertisements. These publications will include MCN (Motor Cycle News), RIDE, Bike, Fast Bikes, Motor Cycle Sport & Leisure, BSH (Back Street Heroes), TWO (Two Wheels Only) and American V magazine. Media Test Bikes Victory will continue to make all models available to the key media publications throughout the year to support long term and short term product tests and head-to-head product comparison editorial. Victory may request the assistance from the dealer network to support these fleet bikes with necessary servicing and accessories fitting as required. Dealer Advertising A selection of standard dealer advert templates are available for dealers to use to support local advertising by the dealership. These templates are available on CD disc format or can be obtained using the on line Dealer Extranet Flowmation procedure. Dealers are encouraged to use these advert templates to ensure consistency with the Victory brand image. Showroom DVD A Victory DVD showroom loop is available for dealers to use as part of their Victory showroom display. Events List A Victory events list will be issued at the beginning of the year outlining all of the Victory events and activities throughout the year. A copy of this list is included in the rider handover pack and sent out to all Victory Riders Association (VRA) members every year thereafter. Dealer Open House Event Dealers are encouraged to host at least one Victory Open House event at their dealership each year. These events have proved very successful in getting new riders to take a demonstration on Victory models. Dealers should communicate the dates of their event to Victory by December (for the following year), this in turn will be communicated to the entire VRA membership in the January VRA mail shot. 07
VICTORY RIDERS ASSOCIATION VRA Membership All new riders to Victory irrespective of owning a new or used Victory motorcycle are invited to join the Victory Riders Association (VRA). There is no financial cost for VRA membership. Benefits of VRA membership includes: Unique VRA membership card (VRA #) VRA pin badge and patch Victory t-shirt (on appointment) Quarterly communication of events and Victory Rider (US) magazine Invitation to Victory Anniversary Event at Americana International Riders of Used Victory Motorcycles All owners buying a used Victory motorcycle are also eligible for VRA membership without charge. This is activated by the dealership informing Victory motorcycles of the rider details on the appropriate Used Victory Rider Information Form. Victory Ambassadors Each dealership is encouraged to appoint a Victory Ambassador to represent the dealership at rider level. The Ambassador can be an employee of the dealership or a local Victory owner who has good communication skills to work closely with the dealership on the brand building and local promotional activities of Victory. Riders of New Victory Motorcycles All owners of a new Victory motorcycle will be invited to join the VRA. This is automatically activated by the dealership when warranty registering the Victory model on the on line warranty registration procedure (i-dex). 08
