Business Migration from UASC to Hapag-Lloyd A smooth transition period with the accustomed business practices is essential for a successful merger. To safeguard continuity of all business activities, comprehensive training programs have been established to ensure timely training of all our staff, as well as clear communication of new business contacts. Both Hapag- Lloyd and UASC will continue to operate as stand-alone entities with Hapag-Lloyd and UASC Bills of Lading and systems until start of commercial cut-over (= transfer of UASC services into Hapag-Lloyd s IT systems). We will begin to gradually transfer UASC services in July 2017. Until then, you will not be affected by any changes to the current communication channels, and we kindly ask you not to deviate from your current booking pattern until the transfer of services begins pricing, allocation and Sales responsibilities will remain unchanged as well as Customer Service, Operations and Finance processes. Please continue to communicate and place all bookings and rate requests with your existing UASC contacts until booking channels will be open for first joint sailings. Only thereafter we invite you to contact your new Hapag-Lloyd contacts provided within this information package. A detailed timeline of the commercial cut-over schedule as well as supporting details will be provided by mid June 2017 and will be explained in detail to you by our Sales Representative. The transfer of all UASC services into Hapag-Lloyd s systems should be completed by the end of September 2017. We have developed special onboarding tools to enable a smooth transfer of your business. e-business Registrations The combined organization is committed to providing all UASC customers with e-business continuity. Hapag-Lloyd will transfer existing registrations with UASC web portal and subscriptions to Hapag-Lloyd s e-business to ensure a smooth switch. A detailed email with pre-registration information for the Hapag-Lloyd Online Business will be sent out in due course covering additional information about all Hapag-Lloyd web features. Customers with a bilateral EDI connection to UASC will be contacted by our experts to build a connection with Hapag-Lloyd in parallel by replicating the existing implementation. Customers using INTTRA, CargoSmart or GTNexus will be mapped centrally with Hapag-Lloyd for a smooth integration and will be informed accordingly.
